Good tires that are not insanely priced…

I've been running Falkens for a while, on my Tacoma and my Mustang. They seem to me like a good mid-range tire made in Japan. At least the FK510 and FK520 that I ran said "Made in Japan". I'm new to sports cars so take my experience as a grain of salt, but I had them up to 1.05g on the mountains, and they didn't have any sign of breaking traction, chirping, etc. And we get crazy rain in Colombia, and they've been great. They're summer performance tires and I believe you're looking for all season, but take a look at Falken. Maybe they have something that you're looking for.

I looked up the all-season for falken. Its the FK460. Seems like a solid choice. I see $266/tire, but I can't check tirerack because they block my country and VPN

I’ve been running General Gmax RS tires in 275/20 square. They’ve been great, tire tread is good still after a few years, great in the rain, very rarely do I break them loose other than 1st, and all reviews of them rate them at either the same level or higher than Indy 500s but I’ve never tried Indy 500s myself. I’ve also got General Altimax 365 on my wife’s car and they’ve been great so far

OK, here’s a tire I never thought I’d recommend. But these are not the old crappy Pirelli’s. I put a set of the SUV versions (Scorpion) on my wife’s Volvo and they are awesome. The ones for our Mustang are rated #1 on TireRack. Check them out.

By the way I use Discount Tire and my store is awesome.

Which scorpions? They aren't all good.

Most of the OEM tires on any car are not well-liked, regardless of manufacturer. They are made to a price point.

Installed Lexani LX -Twenty on my Car. 285/35 R20. I have about 4k miles on them. They are great for the money. Paid 760 installed. I worked at Costco tire for 10 years. Sold and owned Michelins, and Bridgestones, and these tires more than perform close or as good as them.

So, when I bought my Mustang back in May, it came with a set of these tires on it.

I had never heard of them, it saw that they were pretty cheap, as far as price goes. They’re rough riding, do not grip well, etc.

Went by Discount Tire today to preside some new tires. With their warranties, the Continentals I was looking at were about $1300, and the Michelins were higher than that. I have 245/45R19s on it now. Want to go a bit wider. Either 255 or 265. Anyone know of a solid, good riding tire that’s not insanely expensive like the Michelins?

Well this is easy to answer. Michelin has some mid tires at best but horrible quality (new tires are typically 9-10/32 and the same batch of tires should be consistent but within the same batch of michelkns they can carry by up to 9/32 which is an entire tire worth of tread variation when there should be little to none). I'd never buy them EVER.

As for best tire all around, do you want summer tires? Winter? All seasons? Google best all seasons. Every single source comes back with the same, Continental dws06 +. Time proven and tested. Hell people swear by the Michelin summer tires ps4s but the Continental all seasons outperform them, 4x the mileage, better grip dry, wet and on ice, and cheaper by far. It's an all season fire that last stupid long for a great price AND outperforms MANY dedicated summer tires. It quite literally embarrasses the competition. Plus ordering from tire rack means roadside hazard unlimited tread use. I had 2 tires worn down that got damaged in a car accident. Tire rack still write me 2 checks for the tire values under road hazard. I love tire rack

LOL the DWS06+ is a great all season tire but it does not outperform the PS4S with grip particularly in the summer (PS4S is a summer only, so it will get slick in cooler weather, so if it’s 50 degrees, yeah the DWS will grip better). You really like the DWS06+, which is great, but don’t lie about it outperforming a high quality summer only tire in dry grip. Their wet grip is actually quite good too, as is the Conti ECS. Michelin PS4S and Conti ECS02 will outperform the DWS06+ in grip in the summer, it’s what they’re manufactured to do.

I dont know what you mean by house brand? Definatly not sold at Costco. Check the reviews online. I ordered and had them installed at Black's tires.
