Well I didn't get the best replies on the Facebook s550 group but I over the last couple years the look of the gen 3 grew on me and I really fell in love. I traded my 6speed 2017 pp1 Triple Yellow Mustang for a 10speed 2022 Black premium with the california special and performance package with only 4400 miles. I saved my wheels and suspension (which i decided last night I want to replace). Here's some pics.
2017 I traded in and the car I bought.

Nice to see Mustangs in NY. Both are nice.
And that ghost pedal gets me every time I get into the daily :)

For me, 2017 was the best GT year, bummer! 🫤
How many miles did your 2017 have?

Of course, the 2022 is the better car.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the trade in value like on your 2017? I am debating selling or trading my 2016 GT to get a truck.

Not sure what you are hoping to hear but these are my thoughts.

I have always liked the '18+ update better than the first 3 years.

I like the yellow better than the black.

Unless there's some compelling reason I'd rather have a manual transmission.

Again, unless there was some compelling reason I would not take on the extra financial responsibility for such a similar car.

I'd never ask a bunch of random people on a forum for opinions on a transaction I'd already made. If you are happy with what you have done it's pointless what others think.

congrats !! Both nice. I do prefer the uniqueness of the yellow. I m familiar with low mileage cars in the update NY region due to weather.

Aside from the bump in HP I didn't think there was any other differences between '18+ and pre '18?

Both cars look nice OP.

Some can be curious about what others think without worrying about getting their feelings hurt.

I mean, isnt that why the forum is here? I traded a mustang for another mustang and I shared it on a mustang forum. The financial burden was brought up but my 2017 was paid off, i recieved an astronomical amount and paid the difference in cash. I love the s550, i saved all my parts to transfer over. It was less about the transaction and more sharing the new vehicle and what was given up for it.

They gave 29,975 for my trade. The 2017 had 29k miles and it was a base model performance pack.

I agree. And due to its lower compression, it's better for boost.

The title of the thread asked for thoughts. I gave mine. I certainly wasn't trying to hurt any feelings.
