Hell of a deal!!!!!

They are out there every month. Lost a job, chasing the new power adder fad, trading in the car, totaled my car, going turbos, ect…

Just look, why buy something for full price if you don’t have to. I have done that plenty but this time, I know exactly what I want.

if I got the blower and something is wrong with it, I’m sending it off to Kong for a port job and a rebuild. Make even more power at lower boost.

I was considering a ESS or Procharger to be different since I had a F1A-94 on a GTO but this popped up and I was familiar with it.

I came to the realization that 800, 900, or 1000 hp; it doesn’t really matter how you get there. Just get there. Sure, power delivery is different from Nitrous, Blower (Screw, Roots, Centry), and Turbo. That can all be worked out with learning to drive it.

I just want to have fun with a reliable proven setup.

Painted the black calipers today. FP X pipe up next. Air raid filter and reapplying side stripes are on the list afterwords. No FI power adders for me. Gonna run NA on this one.

I hit 15k miles on my way back from Cars and Coffee this morning so I broke out the jack and tools and changed my oil I also got the final download of the pictures from Friday emailed to me this evening when I ran both the Cherohala Skyway and the Tail of the Dragon.. I really like this one that S curve was able to get all my friends in the same shot

Took @gorditas advice and drilled out the 23 plastic rivets holding on the HP splitter and replaced them with 10–24 rivnuts.

A couple tips:

MARK THE HOLES THAT GET THE 10 FACTORY 7mm HEX SCREWS. It’s really hard to tell which ones they go in when all the rivets are drilled out.

Make sure you order stainless steel fasteners.

Just thread the rivnut far enough onto the mandrel to engage all the threads in the rivnut, it will make squeezing the tool easier.

I used 1 inch long button head screws with washers, but should have used regular hex head screws. Too cumbersome trying to use an Allen wrench in there.

Used a quarter inch center drill to remove the old rivets.

if you get the style of tool that requires you to squeeze to handles together, be prepared, takes a lot of grip strength.

Make sure the screws turn in easily before attempting any powered installation. If they get wedged, they will just spin the rivnut in the plastic hole and you will never get it back out.

Hey Mike I am looking at doing this on my Drake side skirt extensions because the e adhesive strips aren’t great and while I’m doing it I’ll take care of the front splitter. Did you rent the gun from your local auto store or do you own it?
