Haven't seen any big money vehicles cross the block with it on or at least listed on the lot information .PPF is supported in the car world, and is not a negative to values. We currently have 3 cars that are 100% PPF. Our GTD will be as well.
Particularly the newer films that wonāt yellow and last at least 10 years. Plus, itās fairly easy to remove if a buyer doesnāt want it.PPF is supported in the car world, and is not a negative to values. We currently have 3 cars that are 100% PPF. Our GTD will be as well.
* I'm not in the right ballpark for a big $ car *Particularly the newer films that wonāt yellow and last at least 10 years. Plus, itās fairly easy to remove if a buyer doesnāt want it.

I don't knoow if the newer stuff is easy to remove over time. Jury is still out on that. The older stuff, many times takes the top coat with it when you remove it.* I'm not in the right ballpark for a big $ car *
But if I was and the car had PPF, that's the way I would look at it.
It's a bit like having a slip on seat cover to protect the OE seat - just pull it off if you don't want it.
No permanent modification / no long term damage etc

This seems like a anomaly and not the norm. The older stuff yes but the technology is better and I haven't seen it happen if a while. I have had numerous cars done and some pieces needed to be replaced. I was glad to have it since it saved the paint. If the PPF is high quality and the shop is acceptable, I wouldn't be concerned, There is always a risk(Age of film paint, quality of paint, sun baked etc...) but the pros are far greater then the cons.I don't knoow if the newer stuff is easy to remove over time. When I had it removed from my 2019 c7 it took the factory paint with it. It needed to come off to blend the replacement bumper cover. So the blend ended up being all the way to the middle of the doors because the paint on the quarters came with the film when peeled.
Removal technique is key too. Steam is probably the best IMO. Pulling it off as is or applying too much heat to soften the adhesive could very well result in paint coming off with the film. Always want to lift up and away as well instead of peeling it back like a banana. A good shop will do it right and wonāt damage the paint. This seems like a anomaly and not the norm. Live auctions, indeed, not mentioned or "pitched", but on line line like BaT, PPF is mentioned often. I'll have our GTD fully wrapped.Haven't seen any big money vehicles cross the block with it on or at least listed on the lot information .
That is why I asked.
meh, in yellow itās more Pam Anderson (baywatch era) than I likeā¦GTD in yellow. I like it
Probably, figured Iād throw a yellow one out there. Iām partial to yellow myselfIt looks bare with out the performance pack's longer splitter and the canards. Pretty sure that's a development car that has been around a while (vs a recent customer delivery.
I fail to see the issue (Pam Anderson Baywatch era)meh, in yellow itās too Pam Anderson (baywatch era) for meā¦
