I got pulled over doin a 120 in a 60 in my last Mustang. Pretty large ticket, but no biggie. Cop loved my Mustang. We dont have 'points' in this state so I have no idea what the fudge youre all referring to on the points thing you always see associated with speeding tickets on forums.

I can say redline in 4th is right around 110. ;)

(And in SC 15 over the speed limit is a 6 point ticket - half your allotted points in once ticket, at least it was when I was in high school there)

Yep - South Carolina is what I was referring to. I grew up in Hilton Head and went to USC Columbia.

I gone 150+ in my 11 and 14 so I'm sure the 15 should do the same or better.

Back in the day I ran my 1990 5.0 5-speed at an indicated speed of just about 140 mph on Autobahn 5 in Germany. There was a sign just south of the Frankfurt airport on the southbound side - 4 straight arrows it showed for the next 18 kilometers. I took that as a go fast sign.

The '90 5.0 was stronger in 4th gear, 5th gear seemed to top out about 135 - but after running for probably less than a minute, I let off the gas and noticed the engine temperature had climbed from below the 1/2 mark to about the 3/4 mark.

Back on the '15 GT:
On Youtube there's a video of Hennesey going 0-150 and I believe C&D give a time in the 24-second range for there testing of the GT 0-150.

Sometimes I really want to move back to Germany. When you get used to driving in Germany, you realize just how crappy driving in the U.S. really is.

Even if you've never driven in Germany, you realize just how crappy the driving in the U.S. really is.

At least every where I drive....
Hopefully it's not all me.

here we go with the safety patrol.........
I though the exact same thing.
Yep and when they kill someone or themselves out on a main road...I'll think the exact same thing.

Take it to a track or closed circuit. Can't help there's at least 2 of you in here that don't have an ounce of common sense.

Don't ruin the fun. If people want to go really fast in areas where they know they can get away with it and not hurt anybody then so be it.

They call them 'accidents' for a reason. No one is saying they can't get away with it, it's the unknown factor of someone else not expecting them going that fast which then gets rid of them not getting away with it.

We switched over to calling 'accidents,' motor vehicle collisions, about a year ago. 'Accidents' implies a lack of culpability.
