What have you run into while out for a cruise? Let's talk uncommon and exotics

I took the vert' out on Sunday to take a ride to the (what used to be) local drag strip to see how developers have destroyed the property. I also dipped into a local industrial park to do some 0-60 runs.

While on "Beeline" highway, I came up to a 71' Ferrari Daytona. To say I was shocked was an understatement. I have maybe seen 1 other Daytona in the road EVER. The driver said he is out every clear weekend. I never felt like I lived under a rock until just then.

Now don't get me wrong here. I live in Palm Beach County Florida. I see Lambo's, Ferrari's, a Zonda & just about everything else desirable.

I gave him eleven hundred thumbs up, we played from a roll a few times (I actually goated him just to hear that V-12) but old vs modern is no contest.

What Rare or crazy cars have you rolled up to ? I don't mean race, just ran into unexpectedly?

I live in Wichita Kansas, very rarely do I even see cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini ect.

I see some cool cars out in the Naperville area, I see the Hamilton Collection guy out in different cars all the time... it's crazy watching his videos and seeing the same road I live off of... he don't want none of this though.

There's a few owners of exotic cars around here. I've met and chatted with a couple of the owners at recent road run meets. Last week, I passed by a McLaren 720s, the driver was turning into a shopping center near my house. Due to the nature of certain drivers around, I'd be nervous driving such cars, but many of these cars aren't meant to be museum pieces, yet.

Crazy to see someone else from the Naperville area, I lived there most of my life, and trust me there are plenty of cars out that way that your Mustang would have a hard time with.

Drove home today and a half mile from my house, there were no less then four Lamborghini’s, followed my eight G Wagons, and then two Range Rover’s all parked up all in a row.

From my drive by, they were all well prepared and on private plates. All the drivers and passengers were suited and booted - all male.

Not sure what was going on, but it was quite a sight, and probably not one I will see repeated for a good while !

See quite a few modern exotics around here, but, there are some older exotics that pop out as well.

Not an exotic, but definitely a car that is rare, especially now a days. Had them show up at our Cars and Coffee a couple months ago. An AMC Javelin AMX.. It was in great shape too, lightly restored, but mostly original...

Worked in the Buckhead area of Atlanta for a lot of years. Specifically in one of the city's premier hospitals. The one a few blocks from Elton's condo. Saw so many exotic vehicles that they really weren't that "exotic" anymore. Hell, even the doctors parking lot had a McLaren or two.

He’s got his own “museum” at Iron Gate, can go see his whole collection in one spot. If you’re so inclined.

But like you said, he drives them, some of them year round. Seen him around in various cars over the years
