Trying to get to a solution which has been talked about a lot here. Trying to get the IM monitors to ready. “Emissions state”
2016 ford mustang Gt- Vortech supercharger, boss manifold, long tube headers, injectors, kooks green cats, Corsa cat back.
Lund says nothing is changed in emissions, but why don’t I get any codes or DTC’s?
If I unhook the rear o2’s should I get a code? If I do this and don’t get a code what does that mean?

How do I get to the bottom of this, determining if they are tuned with a certain parameter to “not ready” or turned off. They are not grey on my Ngauge or OBD2 reader so I don’t think they are turned off.
Putting new rear O2’s on and defoulers currently.
I just find it strange I don’t get any codes. I think I actually want a code to see what’s working at this point.
Car previously ran without cats and also no codes.
How do you force Lunds hand for answers on this? it’s like talking to a wall.

Anybody recommend a tuner that can actually achieve this.

Thanks everyone.

Which ones are not going ready? Did they go ready previously on the same tune?

Have the same issue with my EB after a dyno tune. I am going back to the shop on Monday for them to look at it. I'll get back here with info if I get relevant answers.

I had this same issue on my 17' 5.0. Same monitors would not ready up so I emailed my tuner and supposedly everything was turned on. Drove it and no matter what I did those monitors would not ready up or throw a CEL.
Mods are:
Kooks lth with high flow cats paired to a corsa extreme catback. 18' mani, roush cai.
Ended up throwing my tune before I went lth and within 80 or so miles I got a CEL for catalyst efficiency. Ended up getting rear o2 extenders and drove it around and got all monitors to ready up. So definitely within the tune. Hope this helps

Thanks. Just talked with Lund and apparently the tuner didn’t turn on Adaptive. Got a new tune and see what happens this time. Also have o2 extenders to try if that doesn’t work and new rear o2’s.
Thanks for the input.

How many miles did you drive after the tune change? It can take longer but all my monitors go green with out any issue. Just takes more miles than the stock tune

At least 2,500. Lund just looked into my tune after fighting them all day on it saying everything was fine. Turns out the tuner had the Adaptive parameter off, they turned it on. Could be the reason. At least a possible solution. More drive cycles to see. Also new rear 02’s just in case.
Thanks.

After going back to the tuning shop, the monitors show N/A now, which makes me think they just deactivated them. I am not sure I'll pass inspection with them being N/A, but my inspector wants to try at least.

Typical case for lund. “We did everything right” and then after 40 emails they finally check and find out they didnt do it right

Update for everyone. After only 20 miles all monitors went green. No drive cycle needed. Passed OBD2 emissions check.
if someone is having this issue I think you really have to press on your tuner. Lund was very difficult. But I eventually told them I’m not getting any engine codes with rear o2’s unplugged. Which was not true. This got them to look into my tune and informed me that the tune didn’t have “adaptive” on. Not sure what it means. But new tune was titled emissions vs the tune I had previously. Also installed new rear O2’s to rule that out. And like that all monitors set. I also had new rear o2 bungs installed at the green cat exit. As close as possible. Instead of the O2’s being further down in the 90 degree section. Did this help? Unknown, but also what I did. Hope this helps someone.

Funny cuz lund claims to refuse to turn off any codes that would mess with any type of emissions checks so in theory they shouldnt ever change that in your tune

Yep. They insist, then after looking into it they said oh it looks like the tuner forgot to turn this on. So funny. I hate that they fight it and don’t just spend a few minutes to actually look over the tune. Or provide you with a screen shot of what parameters are set so you can look them over. I know they provide this service but some transparency would be nice. I don’t think I would ever use them again.
