I did roadtrip my RECAROd Bullitt and will do it in the future, these seats are good for 6h nonstop driving (a full tank at cruise speed), at least for me and my wife.

Where'd you buy the recaros from? Price range?Due to the fact that I did track my car about 5 to 6 times per year and didn't want a race seat because I also drive it on some long freeway drives. I meant my needs half way. I switched out my heated and cooled prem seats for a set of Recaro. Im 66 years old and 185 lbs with a 5'10 frame . So to keep comfortable I use a small throw pillow and place it right where the seat bottom meets the seat back. I am good for about an hour before I catch myself moving my body around to find a comfortable spot.
Made in same vendor plant likely in MX, as regular seats just with different foams and covers. Not sure what Recaros does now after two bankruptciesIsn't it rather the case that Recaro also engineers and supplies regular seats, as well as RECARO brandet seats, which are then stitched accordingly?

It can't be ruled out that Ford said, make us a RECARO seat with as many parts of our regular seat as possible, that's how these things work in this industry...
I've dealt with some people who have needed them and some who have not been helped by the airbags (first responder). The only people who are worse off are those who leave the seatbelt off.
What is not unusual for seats.Made in same vendor plant likely in MX, as regular seats just with different foams and covers. Not sure what Recaros does now after two bankruptcies
Mustang recaros are just a brand licensing deal they are not real Recaros, zero supplied by Recaros except brand no wonders they went bankrupt twice in last ten years or so.
Custom foams and covers are the only viable option to retain airbags other than premium seats. Who needs air bags anyways we did without them for 100+years and still have A Pillar bags which are the ones protecting your head and preventing broken neck, hopefully.

Probably ultra high end limited runs, motorsport, and other niches plus the licensing like B&O sound that's just trash with no B &O branding on components.
Recaro have their own dedicated fab facility internally or as a holding or sub contractor but Ford just pays $X per seat for the logo .What is not unusual for seats.
RECARO Automotiv has long been just a licensed name of RECARO Holding.
The ones who have gone bankrupt are the licensees.
If you mean that Ford only paid for the name, then it was a sublicense from the RECARO Holding licensee.
Ultimately it doesn't matter, I chose the seats because I can't sit on the "premium" ones, too little thigh support.
To be honest, I would even prefer it if Ford had stiched it with BULLITT.
If I have to have the covers redone at some point, it will be like this.
I’m not sure about this, I could sleep in mine. I have no problem driving long distances in them either. My wife on the other hand is not a fan.I realize this question may seem lame BUT I am desperate so here goes. I ordered a 2018 GT premium with the PP1 years back and outfitted it exactly as I wanted it. I love everything about this car and want to keep it (has less than 10k miles on the odo) BUT I am finding the Recaros uncomfortable on my back and sciatic nerves nowadays. Has anyone found a way to live more comfortably with these seats? Has anyone ever found some type of back insert that work?
As I said, this is a lame question but any suggestions for would be appreciate.
Thanks
Not criticizing just pointing out the supply chain facts. They look great and I have thought about how they might look in a vert.@S550HPP
I can understand your criticism, but the logo doesn't change the way you sit on it.
There are enough people who don't like these seats even though (and not because) they are RECARO.
I don't need the embroidering, but I can still sit better on the RECARO embroided seat.
For me, Ford could have embroided BULLITT, MACH1, GT... as long as it fulfilled its function.
But then they probably wouldn't have been able to justify the absurd surcharge, which can hardly be justified even by the lower number of produced seats.
I have another car with RECARO seats, which were probably manufactured directly by RECARO. They are even better than those in the Mustang, but also surcharge the double.
