I was just thinking of that yesterday, and I tried tugging on them but didn't manage to pull them apart. Are you guys planning on painting the seat belt guide on the top of the seat as well?

Hmm I never thought about painting that lol, I prolly won't just due to the seat belt rubbing on it will prolly rub off the paint eventually

I didn't really think about the rubbing:headbonk: In that case my 4 point harness would probably rub the paint off too.

I'm sure if U had them powdercoated or cerakoted instead of paint it would prolly hold up

Not sure about the powder coating if they're a plastic insert. Powder coat normally is cured at about 400°. I've sat in the Recaros, and ordered them in the new one, but never paid any attention to what the inserts were made of. Duh! Duracoat might be another alternative if you've got an airbrush.

The Apollo seats look great done that way!

That is all...

Well ceracote you have to bake as well, they will just bake it longer at a decreased temp, at least that's what they do on my poly framed pistols

Thanks, good to know. I've used DuraCoat on stainless barrels and poly handguards/stocks. Lots of colors available now. Air dry to the touch just like old fashioned lacquer - right now. Also seems to be OK on most plastics too... doesn't curl the surface like lacquer sometimes can. Needs about 2-3 weeks to fully cure at room temp on barrels though. Good to 500°, but I hope it doesn't get that hot inside anyone's Mustang!

Going to have to check out DuraCoat's current colors. All I've ever used is "basic" black. :D Thanks for the idea!

That is all...
