I like all 3 with adding the camaro 1LE. Iv been in all and the 15 GT pp has the best value for the money. If that's what your looking for. I'm not the biggest mopar fan and my wife has a 14 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We had this for 20 months now. I'm taking it in for the 5th recall. There's a list of things that are wrong. So with the GT pp with prim leather for just under 38k is crazy great. But have fun and get what makes you happy!
Only 5 recalls on a Jeep?! You're ahead of the Jeep curve!

I keed!

just means you aren't a person of your word

No it means I never signed anything for this particular reason. If you honestly feel that way, I'd have to ask.

Would you rather
A) be a "person of their word" and be disappointed and out $35000 for the next 3-5 years or
B) not be a "person of their word" and be happy with their purchase for many years to come...

If you honestly say A over a car purchase then congrats. Not only are you a "person if their word", you're also a dumbass.

I ordered mine on a hand shake, and had second thoughts and have had my car for only 5 days of 28 days old and could have saved elsewhere in stock even-though I had x plan pricing. And yes the service department treated me like crap at the dealer trying to get my 14 fixed, but yes I still bought what I ordered on my word and agreed price at ordering. And yeah I can order a gt350 at msrp if I want from dealer.

Listen, I'm not saying not to be true to your word, but we're talking about a car order. I owe the dealership nothing. We are not friends, they've never done anything for me. Why should I have loyalty to them? They'll have no problem selling the car if I choose otherwise.

There's a reason you never sign the paperwork before seeing the vehicle. With your logic, I should keep the car even if it comes in all jacked up since I agreed to pay for "that" car.

Lastly, wtf does you having the ability to order a gt350 have to do with anything?

It sounds to me that your tastes run more towards the Challenger. I think the Mustang is too big - and I'm 6'4" 230. I also am cheap. Even $1,000 might be enough to change my decision.

Challenger will be more comfortable, but only slightly. The 2015 Mustang is a lot better than the previous version in that respect.

it's about building friendships and better service all around, then again I know everyone at my small town dealer, big city yeah it want matter.

Yes they should be able to sell quickly but I know where one is just like mine that's been sitting since 11/14 and was one of the first retail orders build. And in my dealer case they now have no more allocation which would mean they can't get one built quickly now. But hey sorry I was a butt, seems to be the boards mojo. Again I'm sorry for saying it overall

Hey man thanks for the apology. I understand everyone is going to have an opinion and that it's impossible to agree with everyone. I do however appreciate your insight, because it is nice to get another perspective when it comes to things like this.

The pros of the gt:
Similar straight line performance.
Much better handling for track or twisty roads.
Cheaper price. With x-plan pricing my car is costing me $35500 OTD.
I personally like the styling of the 2015.
Track apps.
More aftermarket support.

Cons of the gt:
More cramped interior.
435hp vs 485.
Less torque.
Plain old gauges for speedometer and tach.

Pros of scat pack:
485hp 475lb-ft tq!!!
Awesome exterior and styling.
Nice interior and retro gauges.
Track apps/performance pages.

Cons of scat pack:
Very large.
Expensive for me. I couldn't afford anymore then an OTD price of $40000.
It seems your preference is already set and the only sticking point is price.

Exterior - In terms of looks I'm guessing you "like" the Mustang but prefer the Challenger (you "personally like the styling of the 2015" but love your current Challenger and think the styling of the 2015 Challenger is "awesome"). Since I doubt the 2015 Challenger is significantly larger than your 2010, I don't think the Challenger being larger than the Mustang should be a huge problem for you. If you can live with the size of your 2010 you should be just fine with the 2015. Advantage - Challenger.

Interior - Despite the reworked interior of the Mustang, you still find it cramped and like the features and size of the Challenger interior. Advantage - Challenger.

Performance/Specs - Mustang will have superior handling but you mention that's not really a huge factor for you because the only racing you do will be in a straight line. I imagine straightline performance between the two will be similar. Any major differences between the two will be barely perceptible unless you're racing and even then, I doubt the supposedly faster car always wins in a straight line due to other variables (driver weight, driver skill, technical factors like tires, weather, etc.). Yes, the Mustang will have more aftermarket support but it's not like there's no aftermarket support at all for mopar. Slight advantage - Mustang

Considering you already drive a Challenger, I would just stick with it. Challenger may be more expensive but if you do enough shopping around I'm sure you'll find a dealer somewhere who can work with you. Worst case scenario, the Challenger costs $5k more, you wait and save a few months and buy the car you really want instead of compromising on a car you just kind of like.

I really like the Challenger. Wish I could own one while keeping my '14 GT, but I can't swing both cars. I have lots of cool Challenger memories from the early 1970's, but I've never owned one. Perhaps I will some day.

On the flip side, and since the OP mentioned a preference for drag racing if he were to ever race, I have no problem crushing SRT-8's at our local dragstrips, so I expect the same will be true with the new 392 Scat Packs when they start showing up at the track. My '14 GT is very mildly modded, and it'll be easy to do the same basic mods with the '15 GT's, so the Mustang is really the car to buy if performance matters. The Challenger is a really fantastic looking car and is more comfortable than the Mustang, so they really serve different - yet similar - purposes.

If I didn't work at a Ford dealership (15+ years now), I might be tempted to buy a new Challenger. I have owned one Mopar (20 years ago, though), but have owned 8 Mustangs (and countless other Fords) over the years.

Really awesome points man. I like reading these responses and seeing how I "feel" as I read them.

Meaning:
If I read comments that steer me toward one car, like the mustang for example, and my gut feeling is disappointment as I read all these reasons to choose that car over the other, then I know what car or item I "really" want.

I'm still undecided though lol

Well today I am driving over to my local dodge dealership to pick up a brand new Torred Scat Pack RT. It has all the options I wanted, and I really enjoy the new A8 transmission.

I just want to say thanks to everyone on here for not only helping me with my decision, but for providing tons of information and entertainment. I still plan to be active on these forums, as I enjoy reading and seeing things on the new mustang. It's an awesome car, just doesn't fit me personally as well as the new challenger. Thanks again!

$4500 is a significant difference in price for a car that is arguably not as good in all areas. The power difference is insignificant because of the weight. And there is a forthcoming Supercharger kit you can get for the S550 for around $5000. Would destroy the Challenger's HP/TQ for almost the same amount of money, in total.

EDIT: Didn't read the whole thread. I see you went with the Dodge. Enjoy. It's a really cool muscle car/highway cruiser, no doubt.

Congrats! I toiled over a 15' Challenger myself, but couldn't pass up the opportunity for the LE near me.
Post pics!

on edit: I do love the new taillight setup on the 15' Challengers. Looks great.
