Has anyone been brave enough to try the AZ850? They are ludicrously cheap compared to Michelins and have tons of great sizes. I tried to dig as deep into as possible, and I believe they are associated and or produced in same factory as some Federal tires in Taiwan.

The major buyers right now seem to be Mopar guys. Tons of Scat and Hellcats running them. Haven’t been able to find anything majorly negative other than road noise and treadlife. They love them.

550$ for a full set of 20 inch 300+ diameter tires is just wild. It doesn’t make sense at that price. I would expect the Hellcat guys to have all sorts of issues with that boat of a car and HP level. Maybe they are like the BC Forged of tires? Cheap labor, low overhead, max cost savings?

I find you get what you pay for when it comes to tires. I'd try the drag radials but not the regular ones.

I've had a lot of low priced tires over the years and they were all disappointing.

I have at least 4 friends that run them and LOVE them. 2 are boosted (700hp plus) and they do great. I would try them but they don't make them in my size. But I agree, you get what you pay for. If you hoon and do burnouts constantly, cheap tires make sense 😁😁

I live in a warm state, weather less than 60F seems to be the Achilles heel of these things. It’s so cheap. I’m very tempted to try them. It’s 500 bucks. Worst case I hate them and can beat the shit out of the tires and toss them.

Having a rear tire that you really don’t care about beating to death has a certain freedom to it. It’s painful burning up a PS4. A tire that costs 120 bucks, who cares?

My big concern was they were actually dangerous. As in falling apart at 100+. That doesn’t seem to be a problem.

I've not tired them, but I will! I go through 2+ sets of UHPs per year and I've found relatively small differences in max performance between the most expensive tires and the middle of the road UHPs. Some work better warmed up, some don't need as much warming up, some cold flat spot sometimes, some never do, some are better in the wet, some feel more lively, some tramline more, bla bla.
I say if there's a cheap tire that acts like 85% of the best tire you can buy for the street, but is 25% of the cost, I'm in!

I ran them on my scat pack back in 2020 and they were great. I just might give them a shot when it’s time for new tires here in the next year or so.

Seems the Mopar guys love them. I never even heard of them until browsing tires online. I expected to see nothing but negative reviews and found the opposite. Hundreds of positive reviews and YouTube videos of Dodges running around on them.

Probably gonna order them when it’s time for next set. I’m dying of curiosity at this point to see how good or bad they are.

720 HP daily here. I absolutely love them. Bought them because I have two sets of wheels (drag pack and stock), and was about to get a 3rd set. My Michelin pilot would spin 2nd all the way and top of 3rd. The AZ850 will only spin 1st and begin of 2nd. They have a ridiculous long break in, were they fell soft, about 500 miles in my case. I would definitely buy again.

I run them, my P zeros were worn and I had other stuff going on and grabbed them for $189 shipped to my door for a set of 2. They are actually pretty decent tires. Hook better than the P zero nero's did, not terrible in the rain, no noise. Only about 2k miles so not a long term review. But I have 2 friends running them, one in another s550 and the other on a challenger. They both recommended them to me when I mentioned needing some cheap tires.

I bought a set based on YouTube reviews, but haven’t mounted them yet. Sometimes you pay more for the name.

Cheap is an understatement. I can basically do the entire car for the price of 1 PS4 rear tire. I work from home so my mileage is mostly puttering around town or weekend cruise.

I don’t need a street tire that wins comparison battles. I just need one that sticks, doesn’t fall apart at triple digit speeds, and isn’t death incarnate if it rains. The car is so damn loud road noise doesn’t matter, and I have 20 inch wheels, I expect the ride quality to be marginal at best.

I’m sold. Should be ordering tires next 4-6 weeks. Use discount tire in town usually. They are good with my wheels and won’t use air tools if I ask them. Gonna go with the Aturros and see what’s up.

Thanks everyone for the info. Saved me 1500$. Maybe I can get the steering wheels I been wanting now instead. Alacantara makes my hands a sweaty mess. I want to go back to leather.
