That's the vid I tried to follow...but my car won't go into this programming mode. I thought perhaps Ford had changed it for the S550.Try this.
And most new cars outline an easy method to disable the feature. As I say, the existing methods didn't seem to work for me, so I thought I'd ask the question on this forum because in my experience if I experience an issue with my car someone else is guaranteed to have experienced it before and perhaps posted about it.Wow, auto locking doors are on 99% of new vehicles these days. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been motivated to lock my own doors while on the move...but people have to get in and out of my car several times a day every day. So, for me, yes it's an issue.

Everybody has their own experiences. For me, having aggressive panhandlers pull my door open is a much greater concern than having to hit the unlock button to let people in (and I always get out of the car and open the door for people I'm picking up anyway since that's the gentlemanly thing to do).And most new cars outline an easy method to disable the feature. On my 2014 Explorer I go to Settings (In the Information Display) then Vehicle then Locks and uncheck Autolock.
