After 18 months of flawless operation, my Bluetooth phone connection recently started giving me trouble. It would randomly disconnect me and the audio quality during calls was terrible (heavy static/breaking up). I couldn't help but think these problems were related.
I have an iPhone 6 running...
I have the Slammer version of this knob from Raceseng. Very similar design at the bottom. No rattle at all. But the lovely stainless steel does show up how chintzy the plastichrome on and around the shifter is...:ford:
On the 2015's, at least, you need to have the 401a package (Shaker Pro, etc.) to get HD radio. I love my HD radio, especially living next to a great radio market like the D.
I live in Lasalle and drive a red 2015 GTPP with MBRP Street exhaust. You'll hear me before you see me lol. :ninja:
My MBRP Street is quite raspy. But I only hear the rasp at WOT above 3500 rpm with the windows open. Considering the tiny fraction of my driving that is done is under these conditions, I don't care. It sounds fabulous the rest of the time.
So dictating text messages through Siri is an awesome convenience, but one needs to be mindful of the limits of voice recognition. The other day my daughter texted me to ask where I was...I was to pick her up at home. I was on our street (Monty Street) so I dictated "I'm on Monty". The following...
ZOMG that Siri integration is DA BOMB yo! It works amazing for texts (although I'll have to figure out how to dictate emojis). I'd never used Siri on any iPhone (in fact I turned her off because I got sick of pocket-summoning her during meetings). It'll be fun using her now!
Thanks Ford IVT...

Well, I'm not dumb but I can't understand
Why she walk like a woman and talk like a man
Oh my Lola, lo lo lo lo Lola, lo lo lo lo Lola
That being said, having got this far, it is possible for the poster to get any of the hundreds of MT knob options that don't have a shift...
OK so out of nowhere my system is now reading my texts, although I didn't restart phone or car. So I guess I have to retract (tentatively) my harsh judgement on the MFT 3.8 update.
Next thing...the "reply" button for canned responses is greyed out, even when the car is parked.
I deleted my phone from the car, then re-paired it. But every time I do the phone defaults to the notifications -> off setting for that Bluetooth connection. Even if I then turn the notifications on, it still says that the device is not configured for text messaging by Bluetooth. I'll say again...
Not so fast...I fixed the setting on my phone but it is still not reading my text messages. Perhaps I'll try re-pairing the phone. The good thing is that it is dead nuts simple on MFT (unlike the Town & Country I rented recently). :ford:
C'mon, guys...the Challenger had a shifter like this for a long time. I can't see this working with the reverse lockout collar, but it would work with the MGW shifter that does away with the collar.
I always liked this version, mostly because my uncle's '71 Mach1 had it...no idea on the...
The main problem with my install was that the crummy clamps wouldn't hold the rear sections fast to the H pipe, so some tack welding was required. I would recommend buying better clamps. Disclaimer: my system was second hand.
