People that installed JLT intake,

I am wondering does the fresh air duct in the lower air box actually connect to the air inlet in the grille? Or I just need to line it up? I have been struggle with the connection for over an hour, no matter what I do I can't seem to slide the JLT air duct into the grille duct.:frusty:

thanks for the help!

Yes it does, gotta stick your hand in it from the inside out, it will actually pop into place. I wondered the same thing at first

Yeah, keep trying. It will almost feel like it went in to factory duct too far.

after another hour of struggle, I finally realize why it is not working.:mad::mad::mad: A 30 mins job becomes 3 hours.

I took the pipe off the box and try to connect it to the inlet pipe directly, it doesn't even fit!!, the hole doesn't even line up.

so much for a 350$ intake. I thought JLT intake is the best, guess not.

Did you contact them directly to get help with the fitment?

That's what I plan to do next. I just feel with this price point the product should have a better quality control. More than likely I will need to pay the return shipping to get this fixed.

I can't tell from your pic, but I know I initially tried inserting it from outside the airbox and struggled with it; inserting from the inside and sliding it out worked fine though.

I just pressed it up against the factory part best I could and said good enough. I figured there would be plenty of air getting to the filter.

I just did it for test fitting purpose, the shape doesn't really match. For me it will not fit either way. I pretty much took the whole bumper apart and try to force the tube to connect, and it still won't fit.

I am not too concern about the airflow, since even the OEM one is not 100% sealed anyway. I just don't want that tube to slide around and rattle inside the air box.

Looks like I am not the only one with the problem. Plus I think with a price like this it should work out of box without any working around or band aids.

Hope JLT can provide some sort of solution for this.

it is supposed to be a tight fit, have you tried squeezing it a little ?
