GT350 intake with GT500 airbox / cover?

Heres the GT500 airbox with GT350 intake tube. Everything fit right up with exception of that foam peice on the front. It's kinda mashed in there but it's all sealed up well enough. It may look like theres a gap the foam is being pinched. The GT350 snorkel portion of the airbox is a direct snap on.

Also forgot to mention the foam "weather strip" tape used around the intake tube since the GT500 intake tube is a lil larger.

Looks fantastic!!! What air filter did you use?? Gt350 or GT500??
And what did you use to insulate the GT350 tube going into GT500 airbix?

I installed the GT500 airbox kit from Levittown. I figured I'd post up here to show more pix of the install and I have the perfect solution to seal the smaller GT350 MAF tube to the larger opening in the GT500 airbox.

The heat shielding is a aluminum backed fiberglass that I got from DEI. I'm sure it will reduce my IATs to below freezing even in summer. The foam seal I used on the airbox to seal up the MAF tube is part number 1601N122 from McMaster Carr. It's just a multipurpose Neoprene foam with an adhesive backing.

GT350 Filter. I cant remember exactly what foam tape I used, but it was very similar to what is posted above, just wider. The foam compresses around the tube when you bolt the lid down for good seal.

Awesome, thanks for help and write up w pics. Priceless!!!! I have a 23 mach 1 that I'm adding the shaker hood on and have to eliminate the underhood insulation whixh is the gt350 airbox lid. I don't want hot air in box and water on filter. Hence the GT500 airbox lid.

The driver side extractor on the hood of my ‘16 GT dumped water right in my filter and was dramatically shortening its life, even with a pre-filter over it. These filters are kinda salty so ruining them wasn’t what I wanted.

Other reason that’s discussed above is high intake temps when sitting idle. Not a huge deal but anything to prevent timing retard is a good thing. I did see a 1-2 degree drop in rolling IATs over the GT350 setup as well. I’m sure that’s worth 50hp or so.

So if i buy the Levittown GT500 kit for my 2023 MACH 1, which air filter do i use? GT500 or Mach 1...

And what rubber insulation & size is best to fill that small gap from MACH 1's rubber air elbow? (Goes from TB to airbox)

Thanks Benny, you will hearing from me soon. Lol. I already have the blue filter, so I'm good. Just need the GT500 airbox kit. I'm having the maxh 1 shaker hood installed soon. They need to eliminate the underhood insulation, hence the reason I need the GT500 airbox

It is recommended to seal the duct to box connection with foam tape similar to this
