Hello Everyone,

Cheers from Italy!
I recently installed the 2018+ intake manifold on my 2016 GT Mustang, bought and installed Pigtail wires, and took the car in for a tune.
Now I keep getting code P2019, when I reset it every 30 minutes code reappears followed by the check engine light.
Also I noticed that at constant speed with or without cruise control or when I press the throttle lightly or below 2000Rpm, the engine does not run smoothly but tends to shake a little bit, which it did not do before.
I have already checked several times that all the hoses and wiring were actually connected correctly, The only doubt I may have is that the Pigtail wiring is not original VMP since here in Italy they are practically impossible to find.
I wanted to know if anyone has had the same experience and what I can check.
The tune was done by a very competent and well-known workshop in our area, the problem is that they are not specialized in Mustangs and maybe they don't know that they have to modify something to make the car run properly.

I thank in advance anyone who can give me a suggestion.

are you using IMRC lockouts? Also, you might try another tuner.

No, I'm not using IMRC lockout. Before re-tune I would like know if is only a software/tune problem or if I need to check something else. As I said we don't have Mustang specialized shop around here and try an other tuner can result in a waste of money without results

Hey I think you should contact a tuner in the states, because your car has 2 more cylinder than they are use to, and when you through in bossed and IMRCs thats messing them up. Save time and money contact Rob Shoemaker and call it a day.

The voltage and slope changed for the gen 3. Your tuner needs to change these settings in the tune from this

I'll for sure show this to my tuner, thank you.
Do you think that by adjusting those values (apart for removing the error) the engin will respond smootly as before?

Depends on the tune. The values I gave will make the computer happy. But you could have a mechanical problem if your tuner already changed these settings.

Let us know.

Thank you, I already spoke with my tuner and we will try your parameters, as soon as we have the job done, I'll update the tread!

I would like to thank K4fxd very much, thanks to your help I was able to solve the problem immediately.
Now I no longer have the check engine light on, no more misfire and the power delivery is back to normal.
My tuner also thanks you for learning something new.

Again thank you very much!

Hello Everyone,

I'm reopening this discussion because although I've solved almost all the problems I was having with the IMRC, I still have some shaking (much lighter than before) and every so often the IMRC stuck and random misfire codes come up.
So I wanted to Install IMRC Lockouts (installation is not a problem) and I was wondering if you could tell me what adjustments I need to have in the tune to eliminate at the software level the IMRCs.

Thanks in advance!

It would not make any sense to you if I or anyone else did explain what is involved in the tune. Ask your tuner if he has done this before as it is more involved than just turning them off.

I don't know how good he is but you can look up V-performance out of Poland and probably get an email tune for it.

Edit, I think Wengerd sends tunes overseas, he can do it.
