Yeah, I am known as "that guy" that brings the cool products. They know if they get my prize they getting decent stuff. I definitely don't regift crappy products, simply ones I either ordered multiples or ones (ie ADS, buy 2 get one free LOL :) ) I simply don't use anymore, even though they really good stuff...

Well now, that's quite a statement, Alex. May have to check it out.
Yeah the 5 liter bottle is quite overwhelming :) but I took an old 1 liter GSF bottle and rinsed it out and repurposed it for my day to day bottle. I mix up a couple gallons at a time at 20:1 (IK Foam Pro 12 holds A LOT), it is awesome. Great all purpose cleaner for tires, wheels, wheel wells. I even used it on my daily back in the winter when we got over 2 feet of snow over a week span. Was wonderful to clean up the mess touchless at the spray and pray wash before going home and rinseless in the drive way...

You put a grin on my mug right off the bat, Alex. <smile> The gifting idea coupled with an auction is truly perfect..a win-win for both parties and I salute you for contributing. I only wish there was a similar group here that held auctions like yours.

As for being "that guy," I think I have mentioned that I started paying a crew to do my lawn trimming a couple years ago and, having done that sort of ball-busting work when I was younger, they have a special place in my heart.

Consequently, when I hear them arrive each week, I put out a bucket full of ice and four Gatorades. They love it of course and have told me that I'm the only customer who does it. That's unfortunate but now, even though they know my name, to them I'm "The Gatorade Guy." :=)

(IK Foam Pro 12 holds A LOT), it is awesome.
The last time you mentioned that IK spray rig Alex, I made a mental note to look intuit then, promptly forgot the mental note. <BSEG>

Then this morning when you mentioned it again along with another positive remark regarding it, I took a few minutes to investigate.

My main reason is, (and those of you who foam wheels with a cannon will know what I'm talking about,) to avoid getting wheel cleaning foam on the body. I try very hard to keep it off the paint but it's damn near impossible, at least for me.

Watched a vid review on the sprayer and I was blown away by the excellent spray pattern and the thickness of the foam. Virtually no overspray and one could easily give a wheel a solid coating of foam without getting any on the body so now I'm very interested. MOF, I think I may just order one.

LOVED that it has the ability to pressurize with a Shrader valve but unfortunately, my large air compressor in the garage is down at the moment because despite a new motor, pump, and belt, I can't stop it from screaching like a banshee. <smile> But, I have a couple others in the back buildings that are old and slow but they work, and I can run an air line to the driveway until I solve the compressor issue or, replace it.

I do more than enough hand pumping with the three lawn sprayers that do not have that capability and having it would be a huge benny. Plus, the tank is large enough to have both a large volume of air as well as plenty of product and no doubt I would only need to pressurize the tank once and it would probably do ten cars if you had enough product in it. <grin>

The downside is its size and finding a place to store it!

Do you agree with the channel owner that the gray nozzle is the best for foam and, if you have a regulator on your compressor, what pressure do you dial in to pressurize or do you just wait for the button to pop up? Finally, I will presume that all the parts are replaceable?

I use the default nozzle whatever it is. And yes I just pump till the valve pops and stop.

OH, and on a side note, the pressure for foam doesn't last long. Much longer than the hand held jobs, but not that great. I pressurize til it pops and I can 1 side of the car. Then I pump it up again and do the other side. I have a battery powered bike pump I strap on and use if I am doing a whole car to keep it steady as I use it. Now the IK Multi Pro 12 (non foam) I use for rinseless wash, 1 pump lasts FOREVER...

Some of my customers have insisted on giving me a cold drink on super-hot days. Sometimes I'm just too busy or intent on just getting the job done that I politely decline. Other times I'll down an ice cold bottle of water before the conversation is even over. Either way, the offer is always very much appreciated.

For 15-years I was looking after four gardens and lawns for the richest family in town, one of the richest in Australia. Think private jets, a couple of Rolls Royce's, Bentley's, Maserati's, Porche's................................ and three two story mansions, one of which was built during 2019/2020. In addition to that, I tended to a couple of their commercial properties.

As the pandemic hit in 2020, the old guy who had largely left me to it for most of those 15 years suddenly found himself locked up home, with nothing to do but micromanage his portfolio and anyone who worked for him. Bla bla bla, the economy is ruined, bla bla bla, rental income is going down, bla bla bla, you need to cut your prices, bla bla bla, and I quote "what you do is not rocket science". All said while we stood outside his brand-new mansion with marble Greek goddess statues and gold leaf applied to the pillars.

This conversation went on over the course of 2020, I even foolishly cut my prices. I was losing sleep, often working 7 days a week. I was being phoned on weekends, night or day. I would show up every week rain-hail-shine. And no, I was not overcharging the bastard, undercharging more like it.

I only ever got grief from the old guy, not the rest of the family. His wife obviously knew what was going on through 2020. At one point, she was coming out to greet me every week, then slipped me a $50 note in a very hush-hush manner for me to "go buy some lunch", always while he wasn't around.

By the end of 2020, I'd had enough. I mowed the grass for them all for the last time on the 22nd of December, just before Christmas with the intent of not returning. That night I emailed my resignation to their property manager and left it that. Two days later the son called me to ask how I was and what had happened. I gave him a bullsh.t story, but didn't allude to why I had to move on. The old guy tried calling, I didn't answer, same for his wife, which broke my heart because she was always lovely to me. Thing is, small country town, word got around in the end why I had left. Apparently, the son was livid, seems he has to deal with this a lot, the father setting fires and the son trying to put them out. The son has tried to get me back, but I closed that chapter for good.

Why tell such a long story? Well clearly it still hurts, especially being told that intelligence was not needed for my chosen profession. But if you hire someone to look after your garden, mow the grass, clean your house...............................don't assume that these people are beneath you. Even if you are smarter or richer, that doesn't mean you have the right to be an ass to the "help".

Damn sorry the sumbitch said what he did, D and that experience has clearly stuck with you and, for good reason. At least the wife and son weren't a'holes even if the husband was.

Most of all, I'm sorry that my story brought your story to mind.

That’s something I remind my kids…a job is only as worthless as the person doing it. Work like it’s the best job in the world and you’ll find yourself rising to a better position than those who just do the bare minimum to get by.

I don’t know shit about grass except I have to water it and cut it. That’s why I pay people to feed it and control weeds and pests. It’s a professional job and requires skill to do correctly.

Well, I guess this was inevitable.....................

I looked at both GoPro and DJI, consensus on which is better seems divided. Between them, they each take points for doing things better than the other, in turn making it hard to land on a clear winner...........at least for me making my first foray into an action camera. GoPro have the brand recognition, long term product refinement and a huge customer base. DJI has certain features or design elements that are superior to GoPro, while also giving you more for your money.

After much deliberation, I landed on the GoPro Hero 12 Black with the Creator package. In addition to the camera itself, the kit includes Media Mod and Volta Hand Grip. And like any digital camera, you also need to purchase a micro-SD card.

The Media Mod is an external casing that includes an external light, additional/external microphone and mounting points for accessories. You can also disable that external mic and connect a better-quality item or even a LAV mic.

The Volta is a combined external battery/handgrip/tripod/ remote control. The added battery capacity is handy because it means you don't need to remove the Media Mod casing to charge the main battery. You can also mount the Volta to a larger tripod or other 1/4 thread mounts while keeping the remote function.

Yes, I did pay a premium for the "brand" name. However, I think it will suit my needs just a little better, while also being more novice friendly. Buying it in kit form did save me some cash compared to inevitably buying those additions later on. I now need to get a head mount of some kind.

Is this going to turn me into a YouTube powerhouse, absolutely not. But there is now no excuse for me to put video content into the too hard basket. Stay tuned.

Very nice! I have a Hero 11 and although I use it infrequently it is a power house and makes really nice videos.

I know everyone talks about Carpro reset for washing but what would be a good go to soap for maintenance washing that is budget friendly? I have 4 cars to maintain and go through soap pretty quickly. Iv been using the CG Mr. Pink.

Off the shelf options for me locally (like Oreillys, Auto Zone, etc) are soaps by Adams and Griots garage. Adams blue car shampoo is excellent, and their Mega foam makes awesome foam and cleans well too. You can get larger bottles if you like from Amazon. Carpro is a bit expensive I agree, but is highly concentrated so a little goes a long way. I personally just found Armour Detail Supply, their gallon size of Shampoo plus is like $65 (Reset is closer to $90) and it is a fantastic soap, very slick and cleans well.. P&S has more budget friendly soaps (Pearl is cheap) but I find their soaps very meh to me...
