I've read many stories of the same issues on here and other sites, now my 2015 GT is doing it. No ABS, service Advance Trac comes on as soon as you start it, no drive mode selection and stiff steering, No cruise control etc.

I've read it can be rear hubs, speed sensors, and/or the thrust washers in the rear hubs. However, I've noticed that I can't even read or communicate with the ABS module using FORSCAN on my car, when any of you had the common failures (hub, washer etc) could you read ABS codes? I am thinking my ABS module has failed and needs replaced but wanted to try and confirm before buying one.

Try cleaning the sensor rings with brake and parts cleaner and rag, drive at least 60 miles and see if the lights clear themselves.

I had the same thing going on and it turned out that the sensor rings were gunked up.

I'll give that a try, but if that were the case, wouldn't I be able to read ABS codes and get faulty/skewed readings from the wheel speed sensors?

How old is your battery? That's where my money would guess the problem lies.
Battery is a month old and tests fine

These cars are really temperamental when it comes to that stuff, so it’s hard to say.

SO the majority of you guys when you have had similar issues, and ended up fixing it by replacing the hubs and/or ABS sensors... were you able to communicate with the ABS module in forscan? Could you read wheel speed sensor output?

There is an electric connector near the air cleaner housing behind the left headlight, that, if unplugged, interrupts the data signals to the ABS unit. It's used when the car is put on a dyno, so that ABS and traction control are disabled. If it's unplugged, you may get those symptoms. One half of the plug is just jumper connections and it isn't wired to the harness.

Yes sir, I'm well aware of the "dyno Plug" and have verified it is still taped in place and fully connected.

This issue will be resolved by replacing the trust washers

Are you using a forscan recommended obdii adapter? I was recently frustrated where my primary obdii tool broke and my backup couldn’t talk to several modules including abs.

also, throw away the thrust washers and do not replace.
