I have to agree on the wheel design. They are much like the birdcage wheels on the handling pack Mach 1. They are a BEAST to clean :( And black wheels are so over played, I went gloss gunmetal and couldn't be happier... Hopefully your new ride will be here soon :)
I have actually been eyeing off the wheels you have on your car, I love the color and the cleanness of the design.

My car came off the line at the end of April. At this point, I'm just waiting for the car to be shipped from Baltimore to make the trip down under, hoping to see it late October.

I was going to keep the PP2-style wheels anyway, so yes, I have thought of doing that.

But...................................I'm over matte black wheels. I know black wheels fit the theme of the vehicle, but I'd love a set of graphite colored or machined face wheels. I'm even considering going for the 19 or 20-inch aftermarket PP2-style wheels from RTR in charcoal. Again, I would rather a gloss (clear coated) finish. And yes, I know they are the same wheel design, I just love the look.

Do you have a good wheel shop near you that can strip the black paint off your PP2 wheels and refinish them in a color of your liking? That may be the cheapest route

Not something I have looked into to be honest. Specialist stuff like that is not usually accessible in the relatively small country town I live in.

I love the Velgen VF5. I want a set of VF10 too. It's equal spoke spacing instead of the split style like mine. Saw one a while back with VF10 and love them.

Work in progress still. Got my hose reel and plumbed it in. Outlet installed too. Now to work on a dedicated hose bib in the garage. This will work for now.

Lookin' good Alex.

Read up on the Envig rig, (that's kinda cool sounding <grin>) and I see that they are pretty optimistic about the flow.

First time (that I can remember anyway,) seeing color changing resin and you can see it in your three cannisters left to right. That's pretty helpful.

Envig is obviously working hard to compete with CR Spotless, they say,

"The resin capacity is known to be 70% better than that of a CR Spotless system."

But they go on to say,

"NOTE: while bypass water flow is uninterrupted, filter water flow is regulated at between 1.5 to 2 GPM to maximize TDS removal."

..and I think this is where your problem with the flow resides. They must have a restrictor inline somewhere slowing the flow to maximize the resin dwell time.

IIR, you have very soft municipal supply and if my memory is correct, the resin doesn't need to work very hard so I'm wondering if that restrictor, if it exists, could be removed?

You could have them sand or bead blasted to bare metal and then recoat them. Any sufficient powder coating shop can also chemically strip the coating off.

Tried out the new rig this morning and then cleaned up the area a bit. Relocated my polishers to another wall to tidy things up a bit.

Yes the color changing resin is really nice. The color changes left to right (water flow) and I have recharged it twice now. I buy standard aquarium resin off Amazon. It works really well. Next on my list is a larger unit with more flow as well as a hose bib in the garage. I have one I just got to get a plumber to install it. I'm definitely not a plumber :). Also the electrician already had purchased a gfci outlet instead of a breaker. Oh well. Saved me a few bucks and it works fine.

This is what happens when you say “I want one of everything”!

IMG-0760.jpg

With the exception of the coatings (no current need), iron remover (they’re basically all the same) and the tyre cleaner (it was sold out), this is one of everything Armour Detail Supply makes.

https://detailingshed.com.au/collections/armour-detail-supply

I’ve been eagerly awaiting the roll out of this brand for quite some time! As always, it takes a long time for products to arrive in Australia, in fact I actually spotted an Instagram post of Australian-bound ADS products being prepared for shipment to Australia several months ago…………..it takes that long.

Armour Detail Supply (ADS) is the sister company to the Naples Auto Armour detailing facility in Southwest Florida, both started by a young bloke called Bradley Nilsen.

I have no idea who is making these products for ADS, clearly that doesn't matter if the product is right. From what I have seen and heard, products like Amplify, Pilot and Hero have been garnering plenty of fans, but what about the rest of the line? Well, that's what I'm about to find out.

Awesome. I can't wait for your reaction. I have quite a few things of theirs so far and havent found a bad product yet. Hero is amazing. I used Amplify yesterday as a drying aid and it now is my absolute favorite.

Damnit D, I have no more room in my chemical cabinet as it is! 🤣
The solution to that? Buy a second cabinet!

IMG_4009.webp

IMG_4010.webp

IMG_4014.webp

Then you will need space for brushes and assorted tools, the result a third cabinet............................

IMG_9735.jpg

IMG_9743.webp

IMG_9750.jpg

IMG_9752.jpg

Sadly, that can lead to buying a jumbo-sized fourth cabinet........................................

IMG_0844.jpg

IMG_0867.jpg

IMG_0870.jpg

Which inevitably leads to a fifth................................

IMG_3871.jpg

IMG_3888.jpg

IMG_3892.jpg

....................and then a sixth..................................................

I know a little Alex but I detest plumbing projects. Installing a hose bib though is no big deal and neither is the receptacle. If it dies on ya down the road, you can have the breaker installed. I have one (or two) of them left and they have been there since the place was built in the '80's but it rarely trips so you should be good to go for a long while.

This is what happens when you say “I want one of everything”!
Just when I think you've tried everything on the market, you come up with this! UFB and it will take you a couple months at least to test them all properly. <smile>

I have no more room in my chemical cabinet as it is!
I hear ya loud and clear, Brian.

Buy a second cabinet!
My problem is all the floor space is spoken for but I'm curious about the brand and model of your cabinets as they are stellar. I'm also wondering how you wound up with the OG banner? <grin>
