OMG yes! I saw that, just recently in fact. A Fuji rep showed it to me on his iPhone. Hysterical.

I learned some interesting things that may affect our interpretation of color: gender (women see color slightly better, sorry fellas), the time of day, amount of caffeine in our blood streams, and whether or not we are hungry at the time. Weird, huh?
I have actually had a similar conversation in the past. Once a customer of mine asked me to attend a meeting with one of his customers, who was unhappy with the quality of color that he was producing for her.

She fashioned herself a "designer". During the course of the meeting, at one point she told me that our "reds were too tomatoey", and the browns were "too cinnamon-y".

I had almost exactly the same reaction as the guy in the video - "...and you mean...... what exactly do you mean?"

I drive a ruby red focus (bought from Brain's dealership) and I came out to it the other day at work to find a note on the windshield. At first I was like "great, a ticket", but the note said "I love the color of your car." Have no idea who… just some random stranger who was moved by the color enough to take the time to leave a note. It's a beautiful color. Having said that, I think my next mustang will be Guard. The '09 bullitt was my favorite mustang and since this one will be my last stang, I'm going with the characteristics closest to the one I miss the most. Too bad you can't remove the 5.0 badge without leaving holes behind
I, too, had a random compliment on my Ruby Red paint the other day. I was going through a fast food drive through and the teenage guy at the window leans out and asked what specific color it was. I told him it's called Ruby Red and he said he was one of the nicest car colors he's ever seen.

Thanks for mentioning that you bought your Focus from us, Phil. Sure appreciate it!

On your next Mustang, you could replace the 5.0 emblems with another badge to cover the holes. I've done that a few times on my Mustangs. On my '07 I replaced the GT emblems with the tribar pony emblems, for example.

Ruckus, thanks for responding earlier. I read you have had 2 other blue Mustangs, what were the colors of the other 3? I also see you have have a red metallic recently. Why not go with CO or TY to change it up a bit? 99% of the cars on the road are variations of black, white, gray, silver, beige and dark blues/greens (i.e. just another shade of black) and red. Orange, Yellow, bright green and purple are practically nonexistent. You'll stand out for sure but life is too short to blend in with the rest of the crowd. I think it is one reason people like to do cosmetic mods so much is to set themselves apart from all the other vehicles on the road the same color. Take a look at a parking lot at the supermarket or mall and you know what I mean. Open yourself up to the rest of the spectrum. Dare to be different :)

Where's the love for Competition Orange? Nothing screams Mustang more and historically orange is brought out on an infrequent basis for only a year at a time.

My signature lists all of the Mustangs, their colors and transmissions. I just assumed everyone could see it. Is there a setting to hide everyone's signature?

Here's my signature, in case it's not visible: "CHRIS here. Five-time Mustang owner… Workin' on number SIX: A 2015 EcoBoost Mustang Auto. Previous stable included a Blue '95 V6 auto, Silver '96 GT manual, Blue '01 V6 auto, Legend Lime '05 GT manual, Grabber Orange '07 GT auto. Great ponies one and all…"

Anyway, I totally get what you're saying about standing apart from the crowd. That's exactly why I've driven Legend Lime and Grabber Orange Mustangs! They're a tried and true "love it or hate it" color. Very polarizing. That said, I think I was a different person then. I really enjoyed the loud impossible-to-ignore colors.

Nowadays, I'm more reserved. I stopped caring if people take notice of me. I'm actually more into colors that are soothing, relaxing, or simply understated. Now I'm interested in colors that are stealthy. I guess I'm cultivating an interest in sleeper cars, ones that you don't notice right away, but are capable of doing amazing things when the need arises. But again, I'm more interested in satisfying myself than worrying if people acknowledge me and approve of me. Guess I'm just getting older and dare I say "wiser?" Nah, probably not.

I agree that it looks good in person - especially in direct sunlight. I was just making fun of the picture. :)

I was torn between Blue and Ruby Red at first I love those colors Ford did an amazing job but I guess something just told me to go back to the basics so I went with MM haha

Thanks for sharing. The sig only shows up in the first post of a thread then doesn't on any other posts in the thread. (At least for me) I should have checked your OP. Love that Grabber Orange btw. As I said before, if you want to blend in just go with what 99% of every other car out there on the road is. White, Black, Silver, any shade of gray, dark blue or metallic red. You'll blend in easily. Don't get CO, RR or TY then. I bought TY because I wanted it. I love the color and it isn't like 99% of the vehicles out there. Sure it gets noticed but I don't care. I like the color and I don't give a flying fig what anyone else thinks. Get the color that you want and that stirs YOU. Don't let society or "convention" dictate your choice. :)

Magnetic is one of my favorite colors and I might have chosen it but my G37s was close to this color, so I wanted a change.

I'm very pleased with the Ruby Red. In the sunlight, it pops a gold tint that looks awesome.

I think Ford did a good job with the colors. Enough variety for about everyone to chose one that really pops for them.
