Ref your opening statement - From my perspective, it could be easy for someone to get disherented / disinterested due to the amount of editing / photoshop that goes on with a proportion of the entries. I've no problem with the good stuff, but sometimes it's that obvious the images almost look unreal and more like a render ...There has been an unusually low number of contributions this month, there are some goodies. Quantity of course does not equal quality. I print out 11x14 pics of the ones that strike me as unusually picturesque, and apply them to my large Mustang-themed calendar. I will start the month of June with an 11x14 semi-gloss of one of this May's contributions.
With the summer in the northern hemisphere in full swing, hopefully we will have great in-nature contributions the next few months. And for you in the summer hemisphere, I'm sure you have some awesome opportunities to capture the fall/winter beauty as well. While nature surroundings are great, I find a great balance of in-city, in-nature, and at home pics from this site to adorn my month-to-month calendar displays.
Thanks to all who have contributed.

It is like some submitters think their cars need makeup to win and then some think their cars need a Tammy Faye to win.Ref your opening statement - From my perspective, it could be easy for someone to get disherented / disinterested due to the amount of editing / photoshop that goes on with a proportion of the entries. I've even seen cars with swapped out backgrounds, and shadows that don't line up etc (I won't get drawn into providing examples).
But, each to their own, if they win, they win, it's a personal choice, and you have to be in it to win it
Personally I try to enter most months, picking something straight off my iphone camera roll, with no editing (other than cropping), and a high proportion of my entries are a bit 'tongue in cheek'.
I do have a few ideas for some staged / artistic entries, but I never seem to get around to getting up early to capture my vision - and even then it would still be on my old iphone ... lol

You bring up a good subject to ponder, WD. Recently there was a big flap about a UK royal pic being Photoshopped. Publications jumped on the negative bandwagon. When questioned, such publications when pressed, admitted "we only change the light balance". So, I say to them, "Hey publications...you just admitted guilt to what you accused the Royals of...changing a pic to make it more presentable in your view of what you wanted the outcome to be. You just accused the Royals of sin that you are guilty of as well. The degree of guilt is generally in the eye of the beholder. BUT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT AWESOME PICS and not guilt, right?Ref your opening statement - From my perspective, it could be easy for someone to get disherented / disinterested due to the amount of editing / photoshop that goes on with a proportion of the entries. So while to some it may be about winning, I'm just looking for pictures that raise my spirits.Agreed. My submission was definitely run through light room, but everything you see is as it was captured on the day. Backgrounds and everything are exactly as is. We literally caught a gap in the otherwise gray and overcast day right at golden hour and began rushing to get as many photos as we could at that point in time. I could ask for the RAW image, but what is the point of that?I always find comments on “photoshopping” and “editing” of digital images to be interesting! Especially from those who think that this is something new. Remember that enhancing and editing were a key part of photography in the days of film, including:
—Choice of film based upon the colors and resolution desired.
—Processing of the film.
—Printing process, including paper chosen, developing chemicals, cropping, exposure, dodging, etc.
Remember, different eyes may see things/images differently. Beauty in the eye of the beholder!!

I’m going to be doing a photo shoot with both my and my dad’s Mustangs. My brother in law will be doing the photos and they will be edited, there will be some light play, etc. He does it for a living so there will be some cool pics to come out of it and I will post one in the photo of the month (probably June through September) depending on how many we do. If people don’t like them, don’t give them a like or love or whatever. Awesome!!!!!!MUSTANG PHOTOGRAPH OF THE MONTH RESULTS
Kyle @mavisky probably didn't set out to capture a contest winning photo when attending Atlanta Motorsports Park, but an inspired image captured during a brief window of opportunity certainly turned into a worthy winner!

The runner-up photo below from @RedCanPp2 is set in an intriguing industrial location, which includes a couple of sets of bollard lamps that mimic the Mustang tri-bar lamps, if you squint a little! The bold red Mustang really pops in this setting!

Bruc3e @Bruce 8858 takes the 3rd podium step on a countback. What a great location, the car is not bad either! I am envious as there is never any likelihood of there being a Ford's garage in my home city.
