Shopping for a New Polish

So first off, die hard Adam's fan here. I've had (and I know there are) better products from other places/manufacturers, but their products work for me. I enjoy one stop shopping and sticking with one brand just out of sheer ease of life. Adam's has some really really good products, and they even have some that are down right great. Case in point...

Their older recipe, white, Finishing Polish is/was hands down my favorite polishing product to use. For use on my well maintained cars (not on customer, full up paint correction jobs), it was the perfect touch up polish for a spring cleaning to remove the marks you get from normal driving/detailing/useage. Could go over the car one time with Finishing Polish with a white or black pad, and the surface was...dare I say...perfect. There was no other steps to perform. Roll right into ceramic coating or whatever's next.

Well, they retires this recipe some time ago and I finally just ran out of my personal stock pile. I'll save you the details, but their new formula, still white, Polish, I just can't get it to work for me. No matter what pad combo I try with this, I can tell a difference and I don't like it. So what do I do now??

As I mentioned, I don't need something for paint correction. Looking for a product that will leave me LSP ready, maybe clean up markings from a light correction polish or something like that. Just want a product I can use to reboost the surface from that normal wear and tear markings you just get.

On my short list is Rupes Uno Pure Ultra Fine Polish, mainly because I've seen it mentioned in here and Adam's sells it. I have the golden standard Meguiars 205 in the cabinet but haven't used that in a while. Any other recommendations to fit my search? Need any other details? Thanks guys.

Uno Pure is a good one. I also have a bottle of Griots Perfecting cream, I have yet to try but have heard really good things about it. I also have Koch Chemie M3.02. I like it as well. Another I have on my radar is CARPRO Reflect. The only ones I have personal experience with is KCx and Rupes, they work great for me.

I feel ya, Galaxy, I do the same thing with CarPro but the truth of the matter is, there are other products from different brands that might be "better" than our "favorite brand" for a specific task.

That said, "ease of life" is a motto to which I can relate BIG time and I'm not losing sleep over the potentially slightly better products from other outfits.

I leave those experiments to The Master!

No most of their stuff is garbage. They’re great at marketing though. Too many products, most of them do the same things, and they don’t them well.

Nope, CG is watered down crap. Some of their stuff is "OK" (IE VRP for tires, Silk Shine for interiors) but doesn't last long at all... As mentioned above, their marketing is genius, they can sell 15 different formulations of the exact same thing..

Thanks guys, thanks for the tips. Just to share, here's what I got my 350 to share in the stable. I'm a complete shit photographer, so I did the best I could with before-after shots. The car was done in (the older recipe) Adam's orange Correction Polish and then the white Finishing Polish. I used an Adam's white pad on the orange polish to soften the cutting effects on the black as it was not super horrible. Certainly needed some TLC, but most certainly recoverable. The final touch was the white Finishing Polish on a LC black pad. I don't know how I personally could have gotten it any better.

As a side note, what led to this thread...after the Correction Polish, I took a run with the newer recipe Adam's white Polish on a white pad, and I had pad/buffer trails all over the place. You could see every movement. One pass with the old Finishing Polish on a black pad took all that out. Anywho...enjoy...

Can I ask, how do the Quick Jacks go on the Swisstrax? I've looked at these a few times, but I fear they will damage the floor or be slide around.

They work great, and work the same as they would on any floor. Not that it matters (same concept, but mine are RaceDeck). They probably slide around easier with no weight on them, which is a good thing. But as soon as the car starts up, they're not going anywhere. Zero damage to my floor.
