Yep (and no offense) but it happened because you ran a BAP for 3.5 years 😉

even back in the 90s, we were told (by Kenne Bell) that the BAP was a temporary fix, and plan to eliminate it as soon as you can.

Copy that. None taken. I’m just glad things worked out the way that they did yesterday. Live to fight another day.

Thanks for the offer, but I’m going to repair the wiring harness on mine and reinstall it. Moving forward, I will only use it when making nitrous runs at the track. I will remove the fuse after nitrous use and rely on the DW400 for naturally aspirated use. This is the safest way to use the BAP that I can think of, now that I’ve discovered an area of concern.

found a post by @Zrussian13 a while back, where he mentioned that he also experienced a wiring harness issue with his JMS BAP and had to have them repair it. In the end, I believe he switched over to a VMP BAP though. He did say that he had also searched and couldn’t find reports of anyone else experiencing problems with the JMS unit.

Thanks. I‘ve been wondering why the failure occurred at the weatherpack connector. I ordered a new one rated for 40A, since That’s what the fuse was rated at. I think I’ll be fine moving forward using the BAP sparingly once it goes back in the car. If not, I’ll let it live solely on the DW400.
