Thanks for the care guys, an update as I just got back from dealer.

Apparently the clutch sensor connection came lose causing it to not start. Ford fixed it with ease and got my car back within a couple hours. I guess with new cars, electrical problems will be the death of me lol.

The adviser did say that this wasn't his first time encountering the issue.

I will post up some pictures of where it is, and actually show how to fix it. Just in case it happens to any of you guys down the road!

Overall, even though I was pretty upset ford fixed it AND offered a complimentary oil change. So thanks ford.

I'm assuming it was the switch. If so that's the switch I am going to try to tie my remote kill switch to. The switch itself has two wires and is a little flimsy, plasticy, so I can see it potentially failing. And it appears to have worked as a kill switch in your case...unfortunately. Glad it was a somewhat easy fix.

My money is on someone on the assembly line didn't plug the harness into the switch all the way. I once rented a GM delivery/box truck from Penske Rentals. Truck only had 200 miles on it since it was still new. I was heading north up I-81 or 88 and was about 100 miles from the NY boarder in PA and a freak May snow storm hit, and hit hard. Shut down the interstate for 8 hours. When it opened back up, the packed snow was like a washboard. Truck was vibrating like crazy and the headlights started flickering off and back on. Pulled into a hotel, tried to fix it, but after 18 hours on the road, including 8 stuck in the snow and no where to lay down, I threw in the towel and got a room.
Next morning, finally managed to snake my arm behind the dash and get a grip on the wiring plug. It was loose. Snapped it into the socket and feeling how tight it went in, there was no way in hell it vibrated loose.
I chalked it up to an assembly line screw up on a Friday afternoon.

Sounds like a quick twist of a screwdriver might be good preventative medicine for you stick-shift types.

I have had a kill switch wired to the clutch in my 94 GT for years. Dead reliable and a lot less hassle than switching the fuel pump relay or something that actually has current in it. The clutch is just a continuity check so very safe to switch.
