Never been a fan of the GT500 transmission and the price jack that comes with 'Shelby' for less performance but if GTD lite is less than $100k or up to $110k, I'm buying it. And Ford if you do green light this lite version, please don't call it a shelby, it'll instantly make me feel like I am overpaying and I'm being ripped off for branding.

So, if they’re supposedly doing this Lite version sub-$100k, do we really think the transaxle comes with it? That price is taking $200k+ off the GTD, that means a lot of what makes the GTD what it is has to come off. If it’s just going to have the 5.2L supercharged V8 and nothing else from the car except maybe some of the aero, it’s essentially the S650 version of the GT500. Not saying it wouldn’t be good, just at that point it’s not really a GTD of any kind. I’m skeptical unless that really is the intent, the S650 version of the GT500 just under a different name instead of Shelby.

There will be no sub 100k transaxle mustang, comon', stop hallucinating.

Our ford dealers in Canada are still asking $115k USD for a used GT500 CFTP and 100k USD for a base package.
