@Brian-17S550 Where are you getting the vacuum/boost from for your fuel regulator reference with your Whipple?

NFN, but 1 mile is hardly enough time for the motor to warm before doing 'a decent pull'

Hey, there is another port below where whipple has the bypass actuator. I just removed the plug that was there, cleaned it out and put a push to connect in it and the regulator and ran the line.

What did you end up building or buying to replace the Gen 2?
I bought a Ford Aluminator GEN 3block. Reused my factory heads and replaced pretty much everything else.Timing, oil pan, gaskets, oil cooler. Pretty much everything except for the timing cover and the actual oil pump. I disassembled that and cleaned it really well.

What comp ratio you running now? The 9.5 or 12?

Hard to beat the frp offerings these days for a short block

I went with the higher compression 12:1. I got the block for $5600 shipped, good up to 1000 HP. I put another 3K into my new parts and have a 860 HP motor. This was the best deal I could get/find for under 10K.
Is THIS the port you are referring to?

Great to hear it’s back together and running well! What size blower pulley are you running? Have you thought about a crank support? I picked one up and will install it when I do my fuel system install in a few weeks. Planning on turning up the boost!

Is that picture from NMRA Bradenton last weekend? How did the car run? I run True Street at a few events a year.

I went with a 3.5. So far running it’s great. I do not have a crank support. I was debating on it though.
Yes, that was me at NMRA for True Street. I didn’t get any practice at all except for one run Saturday morning so it was not very good passes for me. The car is completely different from what I was used to. I couldn’t get my suspension adjusted in time. I always try and make the top 8 for stick shift, but not this time. I trapped 143, but never did better than a 10.6. Lol. I’ll get it adjusted and get a 9 is my hope.

Nice! I was the runner up in the Stick Shift Shootout at NMRA Norwalk a few years ago. It was a good time and got lucky some of the really fast stick guys stayed home.

Thanks for the info on the pulley. I picked up 3.5ā€ pulley for when I switch over to e85 this spring. I was wanting 800ish to the tire and hopefully keep it alive for a while. Sounds like I may overshoot that mark a bit with you at 860. You have a full point higher compression than stock 11:1, so not sure how much more that’s worth. It might be one hero pull on the dyno and then have to back off a bit!

Have fun with that car!
