Hello everyone,

I am looking to change out the air filter on my ESS G3 supercharger on my Gen 3 coyote, I am going with the short filter that comes straight out of the supercharger (no tubing) I didn’t like that the filter was routed to the wheel well and it was getting filthy.

I already got the filter out , my question is what do I do with the Heater hose 5/8” that was running from the intake to the engine. Do I re route it somewhere else or do I plug the hole where it was with something?

thanks.

You need to run a Breather catch can from each of the valve cover ports, and block/cap the port on the intake Manifold. DO NOT cap the valve cover breather ports.

Do you have a link on where I’d be able to get the breather for it?

Is your intention to use a breather directly on the port, or install a vented catch can?

Sure thing. Just understand though, that when using the breathers on a forced induction setup, the filters will eventually get saturated with oil and can make a mess in the engine bay. A Vented catch can setup is a better solution, but obviously more expensive

Yes sir gotcha I spent way too much money on the build I just went ahead and ordered the vented catch can from LP, thank you

What filter fits on the end of your G3?

question, not sure if you can answer this, but if I wanted to remove the ESS air filter to run a velocity stack the hose that comes out of the air tube, but what do I do with the hose( that’s going to that port on the driver side valve cover)?

currently, I am only running a passenger side catch can.

The simple solution would be to put a breather filter directly on the drivers side valve cover port. If you have your passenger side catch can plumbed to the OEM connection behind the throttle body, then the drivers side port is the "intake" portion of the PCV system, so you want that air to still be filtered before it goes into the crankcase.

If you want to run the velocity stack Im pretty sure you need to go to breathers. Or the remote style catch can that attaches to each cam cover but not plummed into the intake system.

would this work for both the driver side and passenger side? Or is this just good for the passenger side where the oil cap is? And if it doesn’t work for the driver side, do you know which one I can get? Thanks I appreciate all the help.
