These cars have radios, as in AM/FM?

So, what exactly do either of you consider poor reception?
I live in a major metro area and can get the larger FM stations between 50-75 miles away. I also don't have any problem receiving signals downtown.

Generally most of the things that can be done to improve reception are things car enthusiasts don't want to do. Bigger/ better antennas are the surest way. Most of the antenna "boosters" are useless garbage.

Personally I prefer the music I've loaded on an old ipod and leave attached in the center console. Just under 3000 songs there. The only time I have trouble hearing that is on the highway with the top down...

Yeah the reception does suck when I compare to my GTI and wife's Tesla. I mostly listen to the motor/exhaust or Apple CarPlay with all the music I have on iTunes.

Since I have had both, I will say the convertible reception is better. Probably because it has a real antenna, where as the coupe combines the AM/FM and satellite into the shark fin.

The reception sucks. 700 WLW is less than 20 miles away and it fades in and out with lots of static. This is a 50,000 watt station. FM is almost as bad.

Repeating OP's question, is there a fix.

I guess we are the odd (old?) ones that do not use their phone etc to listen to the music/news etc

I would trace the antenna and make sure that the cable is not loose or that there isn't any damage to the cable going to/from the unit and antenna bubble.

I don't listen to any AM/FM at all either - strictly Sirius via stream from mobile or Spotify stream or personal music d/Lee to the device and again stream via BT.
