Fun fact: the Corvette was the chassis used for Michael Keaton’s Batmobile (1989). It was actually a C3 chassis though, not a C4. It was at the Corvette Museum when we were there this summer

I understand that itch very well lol, try and give yourself a week or two and see if the desire is still there, try not to look and go about life, it’s hard but sometimes a few days of ignoring it makes you glad you didn’t do it, I been through a Redeye Challenger and new desire truck and a couple of others but back in a Mustang for the 3rd time, usually also ends up costing some money loss too. But if you have deep pockets go for it, I’ve met a few that could afford it

I second this. You can get a lower mileage GT500 for that kind of price or even less. It’s a better all around car IMO but to each their own. The C8 is super quick and is a little more nimble but the 500 pulls like a frickin freight train!

Considered a GT500 same small town dealer. They wanted $104 for a 2021. Sticker was $78. Someone bought it a week later. +33% on a two year old car? Insane.

Wow. I’ve not seen a base 500 that high in quite some time now. Most around here are mid $80’s to low $90’s. The CFTP’s are still high $90’s to low/mid $100’s

Just an FYI for anyone considering this, The FP700 package is available on any cab and bed configuration ford sells, you just have to get it with a coyote. Meaning you can get a 2wd reg cab short bed XL all the way up to a King ranch or platinum crew cab and anything in between.

I wanted it spec for short cab and bed. The sales guy printed a 2023 with a v6. Said the install would be $1,800. So I am still not sure if I can get a XLT V8 2 seat cab with 6.5 ft bed.

I was just playing around on ford's build and price for the 24's. you can get a reg cab short bed with the coyote in an XL for about 45 sticker. for 24 you can only get the reg cab in an XL

Yeah, I saw a red Shelby pickup in a Walmart parking lot. I even took a picture of it, but I would never have one. It's okay if you want one. I understand, but a truck to me is a tool, and I need at least a F350.
I would sell my Mustang in order to keep my truck if I had to, but it would crush me. My Mustang is a blast to drive. My truck is a job that needs to be done.
