The car has 14K miles / 22.5 KMs.

Are you the original owner? If not, how many owners prior? When did you buy the car?

Appears to be an aftermarket shifter on the car. What other mods does the car have?

How long have you heard these noises?

What is the maintenance history of the car? Is the service up-to-date?

Any recent maintenance or mods to the car?

Do you drag race or track the car?

I listened to the video several times. I heard what appears to be a grinding noise, slight at 8s, but much more at 17s and 23s. Are these the sounds you're referring to?

Is the car driving OK otherwise?

I’m feeling that old owner changed to a different clutch. I have warranty 60 months or 60k miles . Idk if I can use it .

So I'm spitballing here...

From your initial comments, the car has headers, exhaust, aftermarket shifter. I suspect the car has a tune or had a tune. There could certainly be more as-yet-discovered mods. It could be the car was modified in several ways, returned back to some condition and sold to the dealer/seller.

Knowing that, if the dealer/sales office you bought the car from has a return policy, use it. Return the car and seek a refund.

I'm not a lawyer. I'm not familiar with what warranty you do have. But I'm comfortable in saying that, once a car, any car, has been changed from stock, the warranty will no longer offer support. Please, check with whomever provided the warranty.

If returns and warranty are not a path forward, you'll need to seek out someone with experience, with a rack, where you can thoroughly diagnose the car. It needs to be on a lift with someone engaging the drivetrain to determine where the noises are coming from. Further, the car needs to be reviewed for any other physical and software (tunes) changes.

Sorry I couldn't help any more than that. The final bit of advice I can offer is, unless you know the person personally, you must adopt a "trust but verify" approach to whatever your buying. Any performance mods, even the slightest, should be investigated thoroughly, until the buyer is satisfied the vehicle will continue to operate as expected. Physical inspections, documentation, test drives, etc.

Speaking from experience as I work at a dealership, if the clutch is messed up due to wear/abuse it is not going to be covered under warranty. Clutch repairs almost never are. The only instance it would be covered is if there was another issue or part that caused damage to the clutch.

As far as what's wrong I have no answers for you, would definitely have to be diagnosed. I think @Skye probably said it best in their last post.

Are you lugging the engine and upshifting too early? That’s what it sounds like to me. If you are, that will
cause gear rollover noise. Try running the rpm’s up a little higher in each gear and don’t lug the engine (only upshift when necessary) and see if the noise goes away. I rarely use 5th and 6th gear in my car (only on the highway and even then, I usually only shift into 5th if I do).

One other thing that rattles on the MT82-D4 tranny is the counterweight on the right side. If You can, Jack the car up, slide underneath and wiggle the weight to see exactly what I’m saying.

I removed that weight and installed the Calimer weight delete plate earlier this summer. That weight makes all kinds of noise!

Bad o2 sensor or damaged o2 extension harness in driver’s side header. I had that happen on mine fairly recently and had to buy new sensors. I bought generic brand sensors at first and they wouldn’t work. The car sounded like crap and wasn’t drivable. I ended up ordering OEM sensors and that took care of the problem. With that being said, buy OEM sensors to avoid any unnecessary hassle.

As for the P501A code, I’ve never experienced that before, but here is a link to a thread that might shed more light on it for you.

In regard to not upshifting before necessary, I generally like to see the rpm at or above 2K before I shift into 4th. If I get caught up in slower traffic, I downshift to 3rd until the gap in traffic opens back up and I can run 2K rpm or higher before shifting back into 4th. If I stay in 4th below 2K rpm and lug the engine, I can produce the gear rollover noise that sounds exactly like what I heard in your video.

With all the mods its highly unlikely that a Ford dealer will fight for any warranty work. The prior post suggested taking the car back if possible. That may not be what you want to hear but you may be going down a rabbit hole buying a highly modified car from a dealer with zero background. Hopefully whatever you decide works out without too much frustration.
