Some people want want they want and have money to burn.

For the rest of us, we wait and buy under MSRP later.
They would have a LOT MORE money if they weren’t so financially irresponsible as well.

🥹😂🤣😭

For a car that should be $60K at the most. I should call a local Ford dealership to hear this joke in person.

That’s wishful thinking. Like I said, I believe the GT500 sales back up my position. And I shopped the entire country before I bought mine. Still ended up paying ADM even before the market went crazy during and after COVID.
The problem with your thinking is the DH is NOT a limited production GT500...

It's a bad comparison. It's closer to a base GT350

Even then that's a limited production model as well.

Yesterday I called a local dealer to find out about a new Dark Horse that's in its way to the dealership. They said they wanted a non-refundable $5k deposit plus a "market adjustment" of $20k. The price of the Dark Horse would have been $73k and change, but with the adjustment I would have ended up paying over $93k for the car. I thought that was ridiculous. For that money, I could get a Corvette or a Camaro ZL1 1LE or a GT500 (if I could find one).

What do you guys think about these market adjustments for the Dark Horse. Would anyone be willing to pay the 20k markup?
Let'em choke on their car.

I wouldn’t pay $73K. Hell, I wouldn’t pay $53K. There are still new ‘22 Mach 1’s with HP for $55K, which IMO, is a better Mustang.
If you can find a new 22 Mach HP for that, please send me the link .. I think that's a Unicorn, but I totally understand what you're saying. Plenty of really good used S550's with far more bang for the buck than any 650 with an ADM. People will do what they do. 🤷‍♂️

Saw a 5k ADM on a GT premium convertible at a local dealer this past week. Triple yellow. Was a sharp car but 67k for a Mustang is ridiculous unless it's a fully loaded dark horse.

At first glance the rear looks like a crane or something heavy landed on the trunk area. :surprised:

Maybe people should stop paying the mark up price or ford should step in and do something about it... just my opinion.
People have been saying that for years, it just isn’t going to happen.

I thought those were the HP wheels. I didn’t pull up the sticker.
Those wheels are upgraded from the base wheels. Not HP wheels though. No HP front splitter. No HP rear wing. Definitely not HP.

That's ridiculous. Your line of thinking makes sense to me.

he showed a picture of a non HP costing $55K. I don’t think brand new 22 HP’s at that price point are that easy to find if they even exist.

You could order a C8 or ZL1 for less than $73K, I wouldn't pay sticker for a dark horse, let alone an ADM.

At this point, you’d seriously have to examine why anyone looking to buy a DH hasn’t already scooped up any possible Mach 1 they could find.
