Depends, a 2024 will have the same warranty as a 2026 will.
Quality is job #1 left the building and isn't coming back at flat rock anytime soon.
the 24 m/y is a no go for me, because if I wanted an ev looking dash I'd buy an ev.

None of that is what I was discussing. I meant "fixes", not generational/refresh changes.
They put a whole new driveshaft in the 18+ to fix the vibration problem the 15-17's had. It was a real problem. The FSE who came out to work on my 15 told me that they all did it to some extent- some worse than others but that most people just didn't notice. And of course the AC problem. Which was also a real problem. As someone else pointed out, all manufacturers make running engineering changes based on warranty problems.

Generational change.

When has Ford, other than the MT82 aluminum shift forks, made an immediate change? AFAIK, never.

Well, you've convinced yourself, so that's all that matters.
I needed no convincing.

Ford doesn't make production changes as needed, unless it's something extreme like the shift forks. The AC issues should have caused parts/production changes faaaaar earlier. Same with the drive shaft issues. Ford didn't do that. They waited until they updated the whole car.

Acknowledging reality is what matters.

you're right, never. that never happens. nobody does it except in extreme cases where people are dying... and then then its a maybe. some people being assholes to their transmissions doesn't meet that standard.

there's this thing called versioning, it happens when large systems need to make a change to a complex thing they manufacture. we do it with software and hardware. transmissions are hardware. this is done not only for cost reasons but for the sake of order.

that said, you're just being pedantic. you know what the guy means. ford has attempted to remedy issues when it was cost effective at certain points but obviously not to the satisfaction of everyone.

You need to go back to my original premise. I'm not at all being pedantic. I'm merely defending my original premise, while others keep trying to strawman argue.

wait 100%. Hp will come up, MT82 may go away, incentives and financing specials will arrive, more trim levels like Mach, Boss, GT350 will return, Ford always leaves things on the table for improvemen.

this pedantic nonsense?

The only thing I've heard of Ford "fixing" in their production, was the aluminum shift forks in the MT82.

Other than that, they never change anything. They don't do yearly fixes or running production changes to fix issues.
you're playing fast and loose with "fix" when you want and being stingy with how you allow others to use it.

Incorrect. I was extremely clear;

" They don't do yearly fixes or running production changes to fix issues."

There's nothing pedantic about that. If you think there is, you don't understand the definition of "pedantic".

Well Ford is offering a $3,000.00 incentive on the Mustang until the end of October on the 2023's. So maybe a 2023 would be a good buy, especially since the UAW is demanding a stupid high raise, and the offer Ford made was crazy high. Don't know how all this is going to turn out, but new car prices are about to take a huge jump.
