If the cars a 2020 would it not be covered under warranty still? And I would assume warranty would cover towing the car too?
No, anything related to my issues would under bumper to bumper, which is expired (3yr / 36k). Sitting at 30k miles but it’s past the year deadline. With that being said, my car also has long tube headers and cold air so warranty would be voided

Yea, 12.2 is not good.

The best scan tool for Ford's is ForScan. Free software it is bi directional and reads all the car's modules. This is as good or better than the IDS system used at dealers.

https://forscan.org/download/FORScanSetup2.3.55.release.exe

Get this dongle if you want wired.

I have a different dongle right now, If i go this route does it have to be Ford specific?

Yes, the soft ware is ford specific. It is dealer level for Ford. It does more than the 800 dollar scanners do.

What dongle do you have? It might work fine with forscan. That software works for ford vehicles, but it is not ford software and it works with lots of dongles you can find on amazon. The USB/OBD dongles like in his link work, and the cheaper ones with a HS-can/MS-can switch also work

You said your car is modified. Are you running E85?

If you’re still on the factory pump, it could be going bad. Mine did without any advance warning about 10 miles or so after filling up. See thread here.

No, pump gas. Usually run 93, some of the gas stations in my area only have 87 and 89 so i’ll run that. It’s tuned, but isn’t tuned to run anything specific

I wouldn’t rule out a bad pump just yet, even though you’re on a pump gas tune. I’d disconnect the fuel line where it plugs onto the fuel rail as shown in the video, cycle the ignition key to on and see if fuel sprays out. If not, that would indicate a fuel delivery problem.

Probably just a damaged EVAP Purge valve from constantly overfilling

I’ll test that tonight. My question is, considering that it’ll start sometimes and when it does the fuel pumps run (not ruling out bad pumps necessarily), is it possible that no fuel sprays out but still not a fuel pump problem? (fuel pump control module, wiring, etc)?

That’s another thing I plan on testing tonight, I seen online you can disconnect it and check for vacuum, what would indicate if something is wrong with the purge valve?

That’s quite possible, but it could also be an intermittent problem with the pump. The FPCM could also be the problem. If you have a buddy with a 2018+ GT, ask them to swap the FPDM with you after testing for fuel spray at the line.

Usually they fail open, so air is being sucked into the engine. Im sure you can open and close the solenoid with Forescan.

You keep saying "Pumps" as in plural. Is your fuel system stock? If so, you only have one fuel pump. What other mods do you have? (aside from the tune)

Fuel system is stock. Gen 3’s have a high pressure fuel pump for the direct injection system that sits on the passenger valve cover. Headers and cold air, corsa extreme cat back

Forscan will cycle the vent valve and the purge valve. I wonder if your charloal canister is filled with liquid fuel?
