Thanks for all the advise guys. I was already figuring it was going to be new engine time but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Leak down tester will be here Friday so I'll start with that. It sucks because this engine was running strong and probably would have gone well over 100k miles boosted if I didn't make a bone head mistake with that plug.

Seen that more times than I can count. The roller gave up the ghost. The long skinny thing is a needle from a roller bearing pack. The other piece is part of the cam follower itself.

It definitely looks like it could be that. How would a broken spark plug cause that? I can't figure how it would have made contact with the cam follower. Or do I possibly have to two unrelated issues?

the cam follower is definitely not related to the spark plug. the reason it's down on power is because atleast one valve is not operating as it should if at all. The only real problem is you don't know where all the fragments are. if you could clean out all of the broken follower parts and a leak down test is good i would run it, but start putting together a new shortblock and plan to have a valve job done.

Looks like some of the roller and a needle from the bearing on the cam follower. The million dollar question is where is the rest of it. Could still be sitting on top of the head.
