How was the ride home on those cup2’s? Mine should be here soon and I’m a nervous wreck thinkin about driving it an hour and a half home from what I’m told those tires throw rocks like crazy also how did you go about getting a deal from discount tire did you contact them on here ?
Definitely throws a lot of rocks. A suggestion for you that I wish I did was bring some blue painters tape and tape in front of the rear wheels up to door opening to protect that area, which is where I have a few minor chips from my ride home

You can also in the future go on eBay and buy xpel PPF designed to be put on just for road trips and such. It’s a little more money but holds so much better, totally worth it. Last time I went to the track the blue tape fell off. This stuff will not and you can put it anywhere.

I think i found them in the GT350 or GT500 forum...here are the steps I did.

Kit comes with two 7mm bolts and 2 push pins per side.

Remove 3 push pins securing the wheel liner, I removed the wheel for more access.

Pull liner up, can secure behind brake caliper. This will expose 2-7mm bolts. Remove these bolts, the new longer bolts in the kit will replace.

Position the splash guard and secure with the longer 7mm bolts

1-push pin goes in the top hole and 1-push pin goes in the bottom hole. Top is tricky, if you have big hands.

Replace wheel liner with original 3 pushpins.

Reinstall wheel, if removed. Repeat on other side.

Start to finish, about 60-90 minutes.

Getting the car in the air and the wheel off/on was most of that time, but I couldn't get my hands in there with the wheel on. Maybe because I have lowering springs.

Took delivery of 2023 Mach 1 with (among other options) 700A, Handling Package and Tremec 6 speed in Mischievous Oil Slick Blue-Purple. Drove it home (130 miles) with a huge smile.

Today I also purchased Ford Protect Premium Extended Warranty from Granger and Michelin Pilot 4S tires (305's front and 325's rear) from Discount Tire...both Granger and Discount Tire are sponsors of the site and priced very well versus other options. THANKS SPONSORS, and thanks members of mustang6g.com where I gathered tons of information that helped me with my purchase decisions.

Looking forward to Mach 1 Track Attack, making it mine with personal tweaks, and driving it like I stole it...once I get past the break in period.

I insured my Mach on my Heacock/American Modern policy...not a daily driver so able to do a stated value policy for incredibly low cost. If you have not tried to insure your toys with collector car insurance, it is worth consideration if you fit the parameters (locked garage, no mods, blah, blah, blah).

I've wanted a pony for about 50 years and finally pulled the trigger on this one. It checked all the boxes... Living the dream!
Consider paying for the second day. It will not be in the Mach 1 but you will get two open sessions (no lead/follow, passing allowed). Also I got (and drive a A10 Mach1) but second day was a 6 speed and I missed some fun stuff on the 1st day. Line lock and no lift shifting

Today I installed an Accelatec black aluminum reverse lockout collar. It was a pretty straightforward installation since I had put a plain aluminum one in my old '15 GT. However, I hit one small speedbump that didn't happen with the previous install, likely because that car had the MT-82 transmission, compared to the Tremec in the Mach 1. Since the stock plastic collar is wider at the top opening than the new collar, I had to move a small black rubber O-ring (circled in red) a little higher up the shaft in order for the new collar to slide up far enough to let me put the stick into reverse. I just moved the O-ring up so that it's now sitting right at the bottom of the threaded section, and everything worked perfectly on my test drive around the neighborhood, so I think I'm good to go.

I love how the black collar makes the white shift ball really stand out now. Plus, no worries about the plastic collar separating sometime down the road, leaving me without a reverse gear.

I’m going to do this tomorrow. Did you use the three screwdrivers to pry it out?
I did. Plus a scribe to help get under the tabs. A 4th screwdriver will work if you don’t have a scribe.
