Got my Weld 18x5’s back from powder coat to match the rear beadlocks.

A day late posting as usual.

.... ordered a wall mount garage door opener. My car's therapist confided with me that the car has anxiety about the overhead opener falling.

A little more expensive than a comparable overhead but basically just because it requires a separate device to lock the door in position. But very quiet, easier to install, and nothing overhead taking up space or blocking/dictating locations for overhead lights, etc.
Am having second thoughts on doing this:

Tough getting old, isn't it?

All my life I was convinced in my youth that a sports car was not a sports car unless it had 8 cylinders with 300+ horsepower, a stick shift. When I reached 65+ clutch pedals became harder on the knees, memory lapses to remember to put in neutral/set the hand brake became a consideration, as well as squeezing into a low, 2-door car in a narrow garage. Well.......perceptions of younger years give way to age-relevant wisdom eventually. Decided to give up my ZX-10R at 65 years old. I miss it, and miss those to-the-limits track days, but I have never once regretted admitting it was time to let it go. I hope you too find peace with your decision to sell the Mustang.

As a friend recently told me, getting old isn't for sissies. Hang in there John.
I will really miss the feel and fury of the coyote V8. Pushing 80 sucks! I never expected to have to buy a car based mostly on the seats.

fwiw mine's been in for almost a year and btw I upgraded my garage door to a better insulated one, meaning heavier too. I've had no issues with it. The guys who did the whole package, car lift, new door, hi-lift kit for door and opener said they do side installs all the time for folks with lifts and (if you can trust them) say no issues with that brand/model.

IMHO some of us have some smarts that allows us to overthink things, armchair engineer products already out there, that sorta thing. and yes sometimes provide good advice too.

I had this today. Haha. My 305 rears arrived but the 265s for the front are tomorrow. I thought they were today also. I was stuck looking out the window for the van arriving. 😂

Obligatory tyre pic. Banana added for girth comparisons. 😜

I have not even tried to address this yet, I've got 3'+ piles out my deck door from all the snow sliding off the solar panels....

Oof, I was afraid that would happen, but fortunately all 4 showed up at 5:34.
