Hello; Watched the practice and qualifying sessions. From first practice I have a new image stuck in my head. For some reason the ban on personal jewelry was challenged by LH. He got a medical exemption for a nose ring. Something about taking it off and back on might disfigure him. That was a funny concept in itself. But when a child some of my family kept hogs. A nose rig was put in to keep them from rooting in the ground and getting out of the pen. When hearing of LH's nose jewelry, I had an image of those hogs overlay an image of LH in my head and I cannot shake it. Oh well it will pass.
Seems we may have four teams competing at the front now and not just three. Ferrari are still quick but are still having problems with the cars. RB is top of qualifying again. MB may be still a 4th or 5th place car with Russell besting LH. Happy to see Alonzo in an apparently competitive car again. He has been a favorite of mine for a while.
That said qualifying may not translate to race results. So, any predictions are a wild guess. Hope to see some good racing and less of the follow the leader parade.

What’s comical about it is it seems he added one in the off season looking at the pics from 2022. I personally don‘t care but I don’t want to hear any more bs about rules being rules. Clearly there not.

Hello; Yes. Seems he had to have a personal exemption. Some of my wives and/or girlfriends had pierced ears. They removed the ear jewelry all the time. Biggest issue I was told about was not leaving them out for too many days. Something about the holes closing up. But once the holes healed up and had scar tissue there was no problem changing ear studs.

Well, it’s only the first race. Redbull has it dialed in for sure. Major kudo’s to Aston Martin and Alonso, they’ve stepped it up big time. Stroll to considering his injuries. Not hating on them, but probably not a pleasent atmosphere at Merc. The racing under the lights is sure a visual delight.

Hello; Watching Alonzo work his way past cars was worth watching. That Stroll has damaged fingers and a toe (broken???) may have made his race less that it might have been.
Ferrari is already behind with two power units used up in the first weekend.
Looks like RB may be the class of the field for 1st & 2nd again. Too early to call to be sure. Not clear how to rank places from 3rd to 8th.

On a personal preference note I am not very keen on the black livery of MB nor the matt red of the Ferrari. I do not recall if RB is changed much, does not seem so but not a favorite. I like the green of AM and the blue of Williams.
