I did try that very early on for my 16R using a 3M product and it fit perfectly but did not help at all. It's apparent that the air pressure from the front and under the car is causing this. You can either button the hood down more or let the air out using a GT4-like solution.
Amazon.com: ESUPPORT Car 4meter Rubber Seal Weather Strip Small D : Automotive

I don't think I have pictures of it handy but @ecoboost321 has the car now so maybe they are still on there :)
I thought adjusting the bump stops had something to do with reducing this. I've never heard of a hood properly closed flying open. With all the aero and lowering of this shelby you would think it wouldn't be an issue.
I've done RA the last 2 years and never noticed it, but i'm a newbie and it's everything I can do to concentrate on my line, brake/turn-in dynamics, apex, etc... Then there is paying attention to the flag guys.. .so much to learn and adjust to.

My 20 started moving around pretty good at 130ish, 175 it almost looked like a flag in the wind. I wasn’t concerned with it coming open though. It is a little un nerving if your not expecting it and seeing the hood move like that.

It helps a bit by putting some preload on the hood panel, but doesn’t fix the underlying issue.

I’ve never had (or seen) a hood fly open, but I have been black-flagged for a possible popped hood.

I might be going crazy, but I’m convinced the edges of my hood are bent slightly from the flutter.

The Goodyear 3R are incredible. At least as good as the Cup 2 FP-spec (which are a little less sticky than normal Cup 2s). The wheels are a lot lighter. I set a personal best time (1:41) so the new equipment didn’t hurt!

I also hit the yellow curb at turn 10 pretty hard, at about 81 mph, and the Apex VS-5RS wheels didn’t have any damage at all. So they seem like very strong wheels!
I'm currently looking at the same wheel, the VS-5RS for a lighter and square setup. I see you put spacers on.. Without the spacers did they look too sunken in?

Ahhhh, nevermind. I see per the Apex fitment guide your setup requires spacers to fit. Why did you go with that size versus the 19x11" ET26 // Rear: 19x11” ET52 which do not require any spacers or modifications?

I've wanted to know this as well. Why run spacers if you do not have to?

A square setup allows you to rotate wheels and tires front to back. That is essential to maximize longevity for track tires.

I understand that, but why utilize the setup that requires spacers if there is another that does not?

Because you can't put the ET26 wheels on the back.

Yep... so, what you do is get four ET52 wheels then use a 25mm spacer on the front to turn them into the equivalent of ET27.

Got a screw in my Cup 2 on rear. Had it patched.

gotcha! I've been eyeing those wheels myself, but wondered about the correct way to make them rotatable. I'll definitely be doing that this year.
