Just finished installing Powerstop Z26 pads all around. The OEM brake dust was getting completely out of hand.

On the break-in drive I couldn't tell any difference between OEM and the new ones.

I replaced the stock cam covers with the Ford Performance aluminum ones, then added the GT500 dip stick extension and of course a different dip stick
The longer dipstick and tube will work with the stock covers, right?

Looks great BTW!

No, the extension will not work with stock cam covers. There is a flange around the mounting bolts on stock covers. I guess you could remove the material from the one mounting bolt.

I really need to do this. I can't stand the brake dust. Is the swap pretty straightforward?

If you’re planning to swap your brake pads often you should consider getting the Caliperfextion front brake caliper kit. They were not available for a while, but it makes changing easy & get the 2 extensions that hold the caliper while you are changing the pads

Quite easy, but you will need a 3/8 punch to push the pad retaining pins through. And for the front, you need a T60 torx for the caliper bolt b/c you need to remove the caliper (not on rear).

I ended up swapping to the MMR reusable caliper bolts w/ blue threadlocker. I also used purple Permatex in retaining clips, pad backs, etc.

A brake spreader that ratchets is probably best. I didn't have to compress the pistons much at all, but wished I didn't have the screw style brake spreader.

Better spreader: FIVE BANANAS Brake Caliper Press Tool, Car Ratcheting Brake Caliper Piston Spreader Press Tool with 2 pcs Steel Plates, Red https://a.co/d/aQpw3si

Similar to mine; not recommended: 8MILELAKE Disc Brake Caliper Compressor Wind Back Tool 24pc Professional Disc Brake Caliper Tool Set https://a.co/d/dTDPxja

Best spreader: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005GLQCKA/ref=dp_iou_view_item?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used the ratcheting tool for my first 4 brake pad changes then someone turned me onto the lisle spreader. It’s the bomb.com!!!
