If I were interested I’d check to see if it got moved. Many times when I “lose” a thread that’s what has happened.Thread was fine…many many replies. I could see getting locked but completely deleted?
yea, I’m very familiar with how forums tend to work and had considered that. This is the message when the thread link is clicked on from google, just wondering why it’s been completely deleted. Maybe a Mod will respond. If I were interested I’d check to see if it got moved. Many times when I “lose” a thread that’s what has happened.
It got testy because a member was asking about buying a car and this went on for a while until other members called him a “tire kicker” etc. The OP found a very nice car that he seemed interested in and I was just wondering if he moved forward on it. Usually if a thread is locked it’s cleaned up first but remains.I'm not trying to poke a bear but can someone enlighten me as to why a thread about asking if a car is a good deal would be an issue on a car forum? I honestly don't know. I see people commenting things like "Great car! GLWS" on for sale threads as non-potential buyers. That seems like the same thing to me but I could be missing something.
Yeah, that’s a reason to delete a thread. A tire kicker..It got testy because a member was asking about buying a car and this went on for a while until other members called him a “tire kicker” etc. The OP found a very nice car that he seemed interested in and I was just wondering if he moved forward on it. It seems like they usually lock those as opposed to outright deleting them. Or just deleting the offending posts if there's good info in the thread.Yeah, that’s a reason to delete a thread. A tire kicker..
