I had been following the above thread and the entire thread is missing, has it been removed? Strange

Well if the OP wasn't sure if that type of thread was allowed and it's gone missing... I'd say it wasn't allowed

Thread was fine…many many replies. I could see getting locked but completely deleted?

If I were interested I’d check to see if it got moved. Many times when I “lose” a thread that’s what has happened.

I'm not trying to poke a bear but can someone enlighten me as to why a thread about asking if a car is a good deal would be an issue on a car forum? I honestly don't know. I see people commenting things like "Great car! GLWS" on for sale threads as non-potential buyers. That seems like the same thing to me but I could be missing something.

yea, I’m very familiar with how forums tend to work and had considered that. This is the message when the thread link is clicked on from google, just wondering why it’s been completely deleted. Maybe a Mod will respond.

It got testy because a member was asking about buying a car and this went on for a while until other members called him a “tire kicker” etc. The OP found a very nice car that he seemed interested in and I was just wondering if he moved forward on it. Usually if a thread is locked it’s cleaned up first but remains.

Yeah, that’s a reason to delete a thread. A tire kicker..

It seems like they usually lock those as opposed to outright deleting them. Or just deleting the offending posts if there's good info in the thread.

I got a notification for the thread a few days ago and the title was changed to Delete. Maybe the OP got the info he wanted (or didn’t want) and asked for it to be deleted?

I know that the OP of their own post within a thread can do a “delete” of their post…. However, I’m not sure if the OP started an initial thread (1st post) and if they delete that 1st post if it will then delete the entire thread…. ??

Maybe get a MOD in here and see if they can offer any background on it…

I don’t recall anyone getting out of hand in that thread, nor do I recall that there was any forum rules broken either… unless there’s something we all missed.

Agreed CJ, I don’t recall anything out of line in that thread. Maybe OP just requested it be deleted for whatever reason 🤷‍♂️

I've just searched for it.......it was in the GT350 section and the OP requested it be deleted. Another Moderator did that on his behalf.
