It was interesting to me, that this was only 2 mph faster than Ford's test
at The Nardo Ring Test Track with the 2013 GT500.

Why did he let off? Looked to me like it was still accelerating and he had plenty of straight left.

I don't fully understand what was going on there. Spencer was one of my instructors
at FPRS Charlotte in 2020. The text said they were into the rev limiter, but that
Christmas tree on the roof run they did, they were in 5th gear at 192 mph. So
you'd think there was some speed left on the table here.

Looking at the map, he had about 3/4 of a mile left from that power tower to the curve and that goes by real quick at 180+.

Either that or he realized he was going the Wrong Way ..

Aerodynamic instability would be my guess.
Don't think so, I think they limit the cars stock to 180 mph because of a suspension component (not sure which one ) and the weight of the cars effect on said component. These cars make 800+ pounds of downforce with the CFTP

I know the Mustang isn't the most aerodynamic design in the world, but I would still kind of expect a bone stock GT500 to be able to break 200. Does it not?
