My shocks and struts will be ready for replacement this summer and I'd like some suggestions on possibly upgrading a bit. Anyone have any experience with the Ford Performance Track? Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm running the FP track struts/dampers with Steeda minimum drop springs (part numbers are in my sig). It's a huge upgrade over the PP1 OEM parts. A 1/2" drop doesn't seem like much, but it really is all you need and it doesn't F'up the suspension geometry. The spring rate is perfectly balanced at 200 front and 800 rear. The reduced wheel gap looks great with PP1 OEM wheel sizes. No camber plates needed unless you need more camber for the track. Alternatively you can get the whole FP track kit for a little more money which comes with upgraded sway bars and pre-assembled struts. Supposed to be a 1" drop all around but ends up being slightly less in the real world from various reports.

Could I used the shocks and struts with PP springs. Remember my car is a 2017 and they only had a PP1 that year.

You can, and your car will sit at the same ride height it is now. The extra spring rates give the car better handling over the PP1 springs. The Steeda min drop springs pair very well with the FP track dampers. If you're going to take everything apart to replace the dampers, I highly recommend replacing the springs too and do it once and be done.

I'm running the pp 275 tires on the front with a 25mm spacer which I needed due to a slight rub when turning. On the rear 305/35/19 on eleven inch rim. I've got a wheel well gap in the rear which I hate. Will those springs you mentioned present any problems in the front? They should close the rear gap a bit. Check out the picture of my car.

I can't say for sure as I still run the OEM PP1 tires (255") up front on mine.
One person's opinion that 275 up front fits and he is lowered 1 inch: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/255s-vs-265s-for-front-tires.183602/post-3696314

I have the factory PP1 19x9.5 275/40s on all 4 corners with 25mm spacers BMR min drop springs FP track shocks. No issues up front. BMR min drop springs are the perfect drop for what I wanted

I had progressive+Steeda adjust. I would NOT use progressive springs again. Way too low and I favor straight rate on principle.

My new eco will run Steeda adjust with bmr sp083 spring and camber plates. Rear spring probably left stock, and Bilstein rear shocks. Steeda lateral front links with bearings.

But all of this doesn't matter until you fix the IRS and all other pivot points.

The progressives are the most popular spring we sell ... what feedback do you have to the switch?
TJ
I've played with the adjustments here and there since I installed them. The ride is a bit rough no matter what the adjustment is, but to be honest that's what I expected given the state of these really horrible Seattle streets, and I drive the car a LOT. I think if I were spending more time at the track and less time zipping around the city I would probably not have this feedback. They are a high quality set of dampeners.

There's another thread floating around here somewhere where we briefly talked about pro-actions vs. Bilsteins and of course I've been thinking about it ever since. I'm wondering if it's worth the switch.

Do I even have a legit argument here?

Shoot me your email - I will put you in contact with our suspension team & the team that installs these - I am sure we can get you on track with a better ride quality than what you are experiencing.

Send to tim @ steeda

Thank you,

TJ
