What brand is considered a dumb trickle charger, these trickle chargers got popular in the late 70s early 80s. Battery Tender being the go-to for the MC crowd.Be careful with a dumb trickle charger. They will cook the battery from overcharging it.
To me? Heck no, it's too good! Nah, I just have had bad experiences with hot plastic/rubber smells. I don't mess around with electricity.Maybe put down the moonshine, what da ya think?

I must have posted in another thread revolving around this because I don't see it here. I typo'd the name, it's IntelliCharge, and not IntelliCharger, my mistake. It's part of the CarCapsule that I have for the Mach to park in during extended times of not being driven. See the links above. This is the only picture I have of it at the moment.I said that in jest because never having heard the brand name...
Being in Tennessee, I wholly agree! And I would expect a Dummicharger to smell. Not a smart Intellicharger - they should come with built in air fresheners that you can program and select myriad fragrances. Mine would be of a fine aged Jack Daniels variety in step with our good friends from Tennessee !!!

LMAO some good stuff here,Yeah man, I still don't like the smell but maybe cuz it's new and just going through it's thing. I have the IntelliCharge, whose purpose is to keep the vehicle battery charged and the CarCapsule inflated off the 110v from the house, however if the power were to go out, it Intelligently...ahem, switches to keeping the CarCapsule inflated using the vehicle battery.Ok now on the same page thanks, had me going < LMAO
Dang trickle charger with air freshener can it get any better?
LMAO some good stuff here,
It's an older (probably 30 or so years) Century battery charger. It's not "smart", but for my Camaro, which is super dumb, and gets charged with the positive lead disconnected from the battery, it's fine. In retrospect, I will not connect it to the Mustang, I'll just wait until the CTEK gets here on Monday. What brand is considered a dumb trickle charger, these trickle chargers got popular in the late 70s early 80s. I suspect the dumb trickle charger, in 2022 is long gone. Unless the term is for those really cheap lawnmower chargers. Even those may have come full circle.
The trickle charger is a dirt simple solid-state device, generally speaking. Yes, there are trickle chargers that allow a user to charge different types of batteries. That is what I call a smart charger.
Someone that is just going to winter store the car can pick up a Battery Tender 50-60 bucks. And have no worries about the battery being overcharged, and fully charged.
Still even on your camaro don't plug it in and forget it. I did just that on my scoot and it boiled the battery causing over 1000 in damage. It's an older (probably 30 or so years) Century battery charger. I've never done it, but maybe a memory saver type device plugged into the OBD with a battery that you can remove / recharge / replace ?
