Might be a hail mary or dumb question but I live in a condo building where I can not run a power supply to the car. Is there a battery tender that works via a charged up pack similar to like a cell phone power supply? a battery to tend to a battery?

I cannot run power and would like to park car for a few months but its looking like now Ill just have to go out and start it every once in awhile. Just not sure if there is anything on the market that works in that way.

I've never done it, but maybe a memory saver type device plugged into the OBD with a battery that you can remove / recharge / replace ?

You could always get a portable power station like this one on Amazon and plug it in and run the cord as you'd like into the engine bay. Might even be able to use one of the 12v and keep everything inside the car. The bigger you go with the power station, the longer it'd keep the car charged up. But using a battery to charge a battery is kinda like paying debt with debt in my mind. Either way, you're charging one or the other - either the car or the power station. Starting the vehicle and letting it run is the least effective way to go about it.

Pull the battery and bring it into your condo? Put in a storage area perhaps?

This was my thought originally as well (having the similar condition as @MACHtobers Very Own ). But I thought more about leaving battery in the car through the winter months and only before the first ride just recondition it, with something @WD Pro posted above. The only worry was how hard is it to pull the battery?

@WD Pro which charger do you use? If it is the one from where you got the charging program listed at the end of your post?

Yeah I was curious if there was something cause I can cover the car which is nice at the condo so if there was a product that got me a month or so I would be ok with that. But if I gotta start it up then so be it.

The best way is to bring the battery into the house and put it on a maintainer.

I have a 7A CTEK (MXS 7.0) and yes, that's the profile in my charger :like:

I drop the charging cable through the engine bay and sit the charger under the car connected with a IP54 socket, once connected I push it arms length under the car.

It's in the CTEK rubber bumper and I have put rubber feet on its base so if any water puddles, it won't sit directly in the water :like:

I've washed (including jet wash) the car multiple times whilst it's been on charge with no issue :like:

As easy as it is to remove the charger and wash the car. I would not even consider doing that, I'm surprised.

My CTEK is IP65 :

And it sits (almost) directly under the tranny tunnel, it doesn't even get wet :like:

As someone said, you could always pull the battery and bring it inside. Many years ago I had my Mustang on a tender inside my apartment building’s underground garage. It had fans in it to circulate the air and I just used one of the plugs for it.

Same charger here if that matters.
Not saying there is anything to be concerned about. Not sure what the photo is supposed to point out, no need to explain, not interested.

I know there is a wire on the floor in there somewhere. An unnecessary obstacle to constantly be mindful of as the car wash dance is preformed is the point.

Everyone's circumstances are different so it won't suit every situation, but my drive is cobbled with only the cable running across it in line with the cobbles - no exposed plugs and the cable lies between the cobles so its not stood on and its not a trip hazard.

I don't have an exact photo, but you can see the much larger hosepipe finding its natural position between the cobbles (which is sometime a right pain in the arse ... lol) :

I dropped my car off at the dealer on Monday to have the rear camera harness recall done (which they didn't do) and noticed that the battery was a little cold after sitting outside the last couple nights. My right rear blinker is also double blinking, which I hear can be caused by a flat battery.

The Mustang isn't getting driven more than like once a week, now that I have my Bronco, so I figure it's time for a trickle charger. Just ordered a CTEK MXS 5.0 with the extension that will hopefully be here Saturday. Until then, I'm going to stick the battery on the dumb trickle charger that I normally use for my Camaro.
