Thanks. Hit a concrete median tonight and took out one tire and two mags. It jacked up my front fender. So body work, 2 new rims, and new Pilot PP tires. :(

Thanks. Yes I am ok but my Mustang is jacked up. Lots of structural damage including the shock tower. I could not even open the driver door.

Definitely. Pilot SS tires when we get to that point.

If comparing Firestone and Michelin tires, I will choose Michelin because of its top-tier quality and low noise levels. However, Firestone is more affordable and is a great budget option.

Edit....dang this is old thread...by now you may be loving the Michelin tires.

I understand, BTW, I am in Lower Alabama, originally from Texas so similar climate as OP. Like you, my recommendations are based on personal experience. I have had nothing but bad experiences with both Firestone and Michelin. Granted, my last Michelin experience was 15 years ago.

Contis without a doubt. I would also consider PS4S as a summer tire with rain performance - they're magical in the rain (see avatar pic).

Agree, I'm in England, PS4S are brilliant in the wet.
