I am curious to know your thoughts on the 1LE
fraction of the price of a Mach1 and better car to chase apexes assuming you can live with the interior (close and tight) and the visibility (non-existent) behind the B pillar.

The M1 shod with GY tires will holp close the gap but there is no fixing the price. If you fix all the IRS and diff bushings with Whiteline you get a little more road noise but not at all objectionable compared to BMR/Steeda solutions. It's still not up to Alpha but it's a lot closer.

I bought my SS/1LE in summer of '19 for $38.5 on $45k MSRP. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see similar pricing going forward.

That's great! Thanks for sharing and also helping me confirm my choice. I test drove a Camaro the same day I got my EB to be sure I was giving everything a fair chance, and the visibility was the biggest thing for why I went with the Mustang. Specifically, for something I'd be driving everyday I didn't think it made sense. Plus, at the time the EB was the better value (like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm very financially minded with these decisions, which is why this current thought has been so difficult for me). But what you've outlined sounds perfect for a second car after my car fund has been replenished in a few years. So I will definitely be keeping the 1LE on my list. I appreciate it!

Well, it's official. I have submitted my deposit with Granger to order a 23 GT! I appreciate everyone sharing their insights and experiences to help me be sure I've thought of everything before committing. I'm definitely excited for it and already have multiple mods wish lists compiled with a few sites out there. Looking forward to my first coyote!

What color did you go with? If I was ordering a '23 I'd get the Vapor Blue. I like on the S650s I've seen in pics, and '23 is the only year you can get it in an S550.

You know, I have intentionally withheld that throughout this thread because I noticed it was a bit of a polarizing color in these forums when it was initially introduced lol I am going with Mischievous Purple. I love the dark look it's got, kind of has the mystichrome vibe going for it, and there aren't that many of them. And I am always a fan of having something more rare and unique.

i was torn between the HPP and PP1 GT when i ordered. i've had my GT a week so here's my thoughts.

1. i'm absolutely convinced i would've been perfectly happy with the HPP. they're a hoot.
2. I'm also absolutely over the moon with how awesome this GT is because this thing is an absolute animal.

the GT is so far beyond what you can responsibly use on the street I have no plans to do performance mods ever. ford really hit the sweet spot with this thing.
I agree.
Wider tires and wheels. Check.
CBoo5 kit.
Check.
I'm done.
I can kill myself perfectly fine with the meager 460HP.
ETA Previous owner did an X pipe resonator delete and it sounds like it should now.
Oh.... And he also added the Drake gurney flap spoiler.
NOW I'm done. 😎

Lousy choice. :giggle: Just kidding! Hope your order experience goes well!

when i was at Hot Rod Power Tour this year there were a ton of different cars running the Auto-X track they set up at the Memphis and Birmingham venues. a little ole ecoboost mustang was dominating. everything from big dollar vettes, GT's, camaro's, M-class BMW, Supra's and Mazda's. nobody could get close. this guy was beating the closest rival for 2-3sec each run.

that said.... GT all the way man. :p

That's awesome! But I can assure you, despite being the car guy I am, I would NOT be the guy in the EB everyone is trying to chase down lol

To me Mischievous Purple is a bit of a wimpy name whereas Homicidal Purple really sells it! :)
