Vortech / Paxton come with a warning about cold weather and not to start the car or risk impeller to volute damage. Procharger and ESS are fine in cold weather...
I want a FI system which DOES-NOT Require Major modifications or removal of OEM Braces, brackets, tubing ETC. But that's just me

No I haven't and I don't plan to honestly.
I personal feel as long as you don't bang the rev limiter and have regular oil analysis done, I would be just fine. But that's Just me Thanks

These I'm guessing are the self contained units?

I drove the piss out of many oil fed centris during winter months many years ago without issues.
I believe it's all of them. Has to do with tolerances and impeller making contact with the volute.

Years ago I went through 3 Vortechs... was never sure if that was the issue or not. All oil fed. Back in the Fox boxy days... 1 B trim and 2 R trim...

Automotive_Product_Limited_Warranty_T_C.pdf (shopify.com) from Vortech/Paxton website

What does the P1X CFM?, I think G3 flows 1600 and the G4 like 2200
Considering the P1X has been 8.0s in NMRA, the blowers you mentioned should run in the 7s based on your CFM info. I don't believe that's realistic though.

If the cars were setup the same yes it’s absolutely realistic . Why wouldn’t it be . Looking forward to this answer lol

The g3 is more comparable to the d1x how fast have they gone?

Zero issue with you picking ESS, I’m sure car will make power and be reliable. No different than someone picking Twix over snickers or vise versa.
Exactly what I been saying all along. It's all about preference. Shoot, in the end with how the economy is going I might even be shit out of luck & stay n/a lol. Just counting on that bonus in a few weeks.

Yeah I agree with you there. I can't say I think the prochargers break more opgs due to the extended pulley. I can just say that I don't like the extended pulley. Going through all the old broken opg threads it would range from pd blowers to centris to turbos. Back in Gen 1 days. Haven't seen much in Gen 2s or any with Gen 3s.

You'r advertised CFM numbers and real world performance are 2 different things. We see the CFM numbers but haven't seen the performance.

I think they should just try to go faster and we’ll let them know when they match the D1x. Considering D1x is a sub 1500cfm blower, shouldn’t be too difficult

I won’t be going any faster , I don’t have the money to replace something if tears up so I’ll be content with my 6.2 @ 119 on 11 psi with stock converter, stock k member , stock big brembo brakes just on e30 . 3rd pass ever in the car.

There’s going to be some mid 5 sec 1/8 mile ess cars very soon.

I'm sure they will make some good passes in due time. But let's rely on real world results to make a determination, not advertised CFM, theory or dragy comps.

I’m just waiting for cooler weather here in FL so I can get one one pass in before I get kicked out of the track! 🤣
