BTW.
- G2 or G3?, Is your car fully stock or did you do some upgrades?
- What times or HP are you getting?
- Are you 93 or E85.
Thanks and Good Luck

- Haven't dynoed yet but will do so in a couple weeks. I'm on the 120mm pulley

you're welcome and thanks. I really hope I don't end up needing any luck though lol.

quite interesting that you opted for kit that seems to break the most cranks even though it’s got no “pulley extension”
It was over 6 years ago. I didn't take the time to research as much as I do now. Not only that, I was making a lot more money & no baby around. Now things have changed so my decision has to be more precise. Also what made me go PD blower last time was the amount of people that were selling their centrifugal blowers for a pd blower. This car will be driven by the wife, so a car that does not go into boost at low rpm fits the bill. The rest of why I would go with ESS over the other 3 common brands has been stated. Haven't even claimed one is better than the others, just pointed out why I would choose one over the others. I'm sure they're all fine blowers for what the person buying it is intending it for.

Did you install op/cs on yours, or is that also a thing of the past? Haven't heard of many cars blowing oil pump gears on these cars yet or the Gen 2s as much as the Gen 1s

Zero issue with you picking ESS, I’m sure car will make power and be reliable. No different than someone picking Twix over snickers or vise versa.

the inability to start the car in the winter with cold temps, without risking damage,
i'm not sure if that's just a thing of the past but i have a p1x with a few cold winters on it without any issues

Holy shit..... People are getting sucked into the CFM comparison which is mostly bloated for marketing. 90% of the users here will never even pulley close enough to reach these flow values.

An old V7 Ysi in 1998 would make 1250whp @ 1600CFM. That's without intercooling and 280° IAT.... on an 8 rib being overspun by 15K RPM.

All of these compressors now will support 750-900whp on good timing and fuel. Even the lowest "CFM" ones.

I’ll definitely never use all of it and don’t get caught up in it. Put when someone makes stupid comment without facts , you provide facts.

I still love my s-trim non Intercooled in my 95 , the sound alone is worth it lol

Vortech / Paxton come with a warning about cold weather and not to start the car or risk impeller to volute damage. Procharger and ESS are fine in cold weather...

These I'm guessing are the self contained units?

I drove the piss out of many oil fed centris during winter months many years ago without issues.
