Zach was saying all their pending orders got build weeks.:)
Thats a negative ghost rider. I have a pending order with no build date. Last I heard, "lets cross our fingers and HOPEFULLY you'll get a build date next round of scheduling" 🙁

Correct, that is Not what he said. He said they have allocations for all of their outstanding M1 orders in the coming scheduling month. Those will be mostly October builds, that will be scheduled in the next couple weeks. There will be a chance that some will get September dates, as cars are sliding back and forth.

So I have a question for you Bill. It's regarding the registration of the car. I am also from California but I'll be having the car shipped to me from Granger. My question is, do they directly register the car for you in California through their dealer?
Also, do you have to pay tax in both states when buying the car?

You get your invoice, your certificate of origin and you bring proof of insurance and your tax check to your local license plate/tag agency/tax collector in your state. You generally only pay tax in the state you register.

yeah, I'd been looking for about 3 years now. was looking at PP2 cars, test drove one, had what I wanted spec'd and priced out. But was also leaning towards the Bronco. Then whispers started of the Mach 1 in what, spring 2020 I think? so after the Bronco reveal in July I held off on ordering one to see what the Mach 1 was going to be like. Then I had to wait for a few things to fall in place, namely finances (because it was before Granger and their pricing was making noise so I was thinking It'd be a bit over 60k for my car) so ordered last june finally....if I had known about granger's pricing earlier I would've ordered earlier, and likely been in a '21 instead.

color was never an issue. bright red. Always and everything. even my lawn mower and tractor are red. gotta repaint my motorcycle red as well.
What made my decision easy for M1 was all the talk on YouTube about the Tremec transmission. I actually haven’t driven one yet; but expectations are high for when it comes in. Any of you driven GT-350 or M1 6 SP?

This is the end of what was a 2 year plan, and has turned into a 2 1/2 year plan. Had to pay something else off 3 years early to swing this one.

It was just going to be a dark blue or black fully loaded GT, then a year into the plan the stars aligned and they came up with the Mach1 HP with an Automatic, and I was ecstatic.

Then when the MY2022 came around and Eruption Green (the best Ford color in 50 years) was on the list, I was in Heaven...until the chip shortage, etc.... Now I'm on the verge of owning what is as close to my dream car as II could ever afford, I can wait a couple more days.
I had a hot rod (70' Dart Swinger 340, 4 speed) back in High School and married my High School
sweetheart (from a different High School) and still married to her, today! Sold the Dart and bought a new "family car" (73" Pinto :crying:). I also had motorcycles since I was 19. Raised four children and up until 6 months ago still rode but decided it was time and gave one of my motorcycles to my oldest son and sold the other and stopped riding😪.
When all the kids left the house, I bought myself a 50Th Birthday present, a Cobra Replicar
kit and took two years to build it. I still have it and it's a blast to drive!!! But where I came from
(North East, NY) it is a short driving season. ❄⛄
Fast forward.... we retired and moved to Arizona. All year driving season with only one problem,
the "dry heat"🔥!!! The Cobra with no top and sitting on top of the engine in heat is unbearable!!
So I needed a "Hot Rod" with air conditioning and along comes the new Mach 1. It checked off all
the boxes for my wants and needs!!! So that's my story!! Pretty soon it will become a reality!!!!

In CA you need to get a Smog Check and Pull into the DMV Verification Line before parking, on your way to your appointment. At our office it's next to the Driver Test Line.

I am hoping that since I am getting a temporary registration from Iowa, that they go ahead and charge me their 9% sales tax, so Newsome doesn't get all 11% they normally would.

Have you called or emailed Ashleigh @ Granger, to get your status? That's where II found out what rail-car mine was on. I'm going to hit her up again tomorrow to see if there's any progress.

Our cars should be there at the same time. Have you any idea how you are getting her home?

I ordered some shirts and sweatshirts from Custom Ink, for the trip home. The Quote is from Paul Schmucker from Everyday Driver describing the Mach1 when they reviewed it vs. the BMW M4, the episode is Horse vs. Beaver.

I've got about 220 miles on my Mach 1, HP w/ 6spd. so even the trans is not broken in yet.

Like @Jimmy Dean, I have 250 miles or so on mine. I will say it is the smoothest manual I have ever owned, and the clutch resistance is butter. Steeda spring waiting for install, so it will have a more linear feel.

So thankful I don’t live there. You may pay the 9% Iowa and then the extra 2% when you do the Cali registration after they see what you paid in tax. It’s my understanding tax is on registration.

Close to 300 miles here.

I installed the Steeda clutch assist spring the first week or so. I was having a difficult time feeling clutch bite point with the Ford spring.

Yes, the Tremec is nice. Positive. Notchy. Firm. All in good ways. The Tremec continues to improve as the car is breaking-in. Never driven an MT-82, so I cannot compare, but have driven manuals in all my vehicles.
