So I have a 2020 GT Premium A10 with 21900 miles. A month ago it suffered some kind of catastrophic engine failure.
Car was picked up by Ford roadside assistance and delivered to my local dealership where I purchased it.
4 weeks later I finally got a call in which they needed oil change records and the following...the dealership is saying ford is requiring me to sign off on letting the dealership remove the cylinder heads to look for detonation and evidence of the engine being tuned.
So if they claim they found evidence under the heads they will deny my warranty and I will have to pay 22 hours of shop time.
The thing is though, I have never tined or modified the ecu or engine...and I thought all that would show up during a diagnostic check of the ecu?
They haven't even shared with me what they have already discovered during their evaluation of the engine.
It would be greatly appreciated if I could have fellow members share with me advice and guidance with dealing with this situation.
Many thanks!!
